    Acting Marshal directive #3

Comrades, the trick to defeating the hun is to deprive them from accessing staging area's in which they can mount new attacks either in the next turn when the units are moved up or in the same turn spawned.

The stageing area's I talk about are Fortress's and Cities, if you look at the Belorussian front the germans are having difficulty there b/c their staging areas are outside the salient and the moscow AA's and Pe2 are blocking their bombers/stukas in some area's that don't have the range to go around in one move, thus get shot down in my turn.

Its not to late to start thinking about this and at least block off their tanks movements(roads etc) in key area's.

The other item is that cossacks should be built in one turn (we allow the disbanding of one red army unit to help the rush buy of this) to slow down the german advance. Commanders will be shot if they allow a german advance divison (1-2 units) access to a new stageing spot b/c it was able to knock off 2-3 red army units and enter the city. A single cossack in there, either built in that city or brought up from behind with the red army units would stop this. (stuka's exception)

If we had been buidling cossacks in a lot of citys we didn't get units out of from the start, we would have about 20 cossacks for the front at minimal cost ie 81k builds one with a red army disband. Tell me you wouldn't like 20 cossacks now for just one KV1! or 10 if minimal rush buy ie 200k.

My request for this turn is to try to get one resonable unit in each city and get cities nearish to the front building cossacks if nothing else.

OK Im back. Colwyn thanks for covering for me.

          Now Comrades the Lenningrad question.

Henrik is authorized to do what it takes to kill the Karl and save Leningrad.
Yop you are to support Henrik with what he needs from the Murmansk Front.
If Anzac can get that new KV-1 to Leningrad to reinforce that is authorized.
I dont reccomend an airlift, it will probably get intercepted.

Yop this means you will probably need to give up cities.
I want the high value units to make a Beeline for Tikvin in case the defense of Lenningrad fails. Yop keep the Murmansk-Tikvin road open as long as you can to move units to Tikvin. Dont forget to rehome them when you get there. Start selling off improvements in the Kola.

We are giving up the Kola.

We are trying too save Leningrad and kill the Karl.

Last resort is to execute Colwyns plan of building a city in the woods at the Road Junction between Cherpovits/Tikvin/ Archangel. And make that a bunker if we lose even Tikvin.

Good luck Im not going to tell you all what to do exactly, thats what I pay Front Commanders big rubbles for. You have my general intent now execute a plan and fight the good fight. Is this clear enough? Good Luck!

Yop/Anzac and Henrik have to work together on this one. The Rodina is counting on you!

The new city would fall under which front commander???
Btw. There are some Finnish infantery just outside Viipuri. If I don't use the KV-1 to kill them, Viipuri will surely fall in the winter.

I disagree, I think we should take the chance to move 2-16's from Kiev to gomel and the motorised inf (use river to get there in one turn)

In my games 1/2 the time gomel doesn't fall in summer 41 and I certainly notice the german blitzcreig is held back by not having a spawning point east of the pripert marshes so soon.

The 2 1-16's and mot inf will do nothing for kiev as bombers/artillery will kill them easily.

I also request that the marshal rush buy(sell some imp in not front cities ie libs in small cities to pay) cossacks (disband a unit where necessary) in Kaluga, Bryansk and Gomel, Gorkiy needs another entertainer too at the end of the turn.

Comrades do not underestimate the value of Gomel in holding back the nazi horde for a extra turn (all we need) 4 other cites won't be threatened by land troops if it holds this turn!

Re: Re Gomel & extraordinary troop movements

Well since Im getting paid the big rubles Ill make my decision tomorrow night before I play. I have heard both sides and will ponder this question tomorrow. I just want to remind all that sacrifice for the entire Rodina will be rewarded. Trying to protect your own front at the expense of others will be PUNISHED! (I love the power to send Commanders and Ministers to the Gulag! )

BTW Siblingov has till then to play or I will play for him. The last time he logged in was around 1100 GMT yesterday. (Monday for you Aussies). So he has unitl around 0300 GMT thursday to play, then we shall move the war forward!!!!!

I think Gomel will fall this turn or next doing whatever we do...
and the more units we have at Kiev the better, kiev is going to be attacked by lots of planes and the il-2 will do it right there

and I think you should ask me before doing that beloved marshall...

Just remember who is in charge here!

I have already heard your side of the story, both cities are probably going to fall very soon. I just have to weigh were the most benefit for the Rodina lies. In a difference of opinion between front commanders the Marshall decides.

Ill let you know what I did tomorow when I play the turn.
