That format screws the layout of the screen.

Which is why I would rather have 29-Nov-02 or Nov 29 2002 as options.

No, in Australia we say either.
November 28th or 28th November. And we have the advantage of grouping all the optional bits of data at the end, so if someone asks the date, we can say the 28th, rather than the longer 28th of November, 2002.

Much better than putting the most important, non-optional part of the date in the middle.

No, it's easily read as 29 divided by 11 minus 2. It's also easily read as 2029, November 2nd.

And if someone asks the month, you say November.
And if someone asks the year, you say 2002.

Very seldom will someone actually just write "28th" when dating a paper, it'll at the very least be "November 28th".

Probably because there's no Civ2 style, even in the main Civ2 section.

eeer the "apolyton classic" colors(used on the "not named after a game" styles) ARE the colors of the civ2 section
