So what is the standard, most widely used (by country... sorry Locutus) format?

I think that would be DD-MM-YYYY, but officially that might be YYYY-MMM-DD as well........

        Yay!

/me leaves the date format exactly as it is.

I would go for a format like that too, but whether or not you make that refinement, I am extremely grateful for this change.

            /me does too

Is it REALLY true that our system is an internationally known and used one? American dates did always confuse me, but I expected they were Nth Hemisphere ones and that we were in the minority.

I want to conform to what the rest of the world uses, but I'm just too lazy.

DD-MM-YYYY is the most common format used, the most commonly endorsed format is YYYY-MM-DD.

                        Where's the YYYY-MM-DD format?

That's the one that I always use. Actually, I use YYYY.MM.DD or YYYY/MM/DD, but that's irrelevant.

                          Thank you Markos! Well done.

Now, if you'd only implement the YYMMDD or YY-MM-DD format, I'd be eternally grateful. For, like, several days at least.

I wonder why no one has mentioned that the YYYY-MM-DD format is unavailable.

I find that very difficult to read, why would you want the year first? Isn't knowing the date more relevant? Today in that format is 021129!! how do you say that out loud? confusing as hell.

A much better format (and incidentally the one I use) is 29/11-02 which is easily read as 29th of november 2002.

The one I use is 11-28-02. Why?

Because I say it like "November 28th, 2002", so this makes sense.
