  • Change in posting rules?

Prior to last week I had been away from Poly for about 4-5 months, I just noticed that it looks like the posting rules have changed, but I'm not sure. Sounds like a newbie, but I'll have to ask.

Is it true that posts in OT don't count in the stats as before? Because someone claimed (not to me) in OT recently that you should keep on posting there if you want to get a higher rank.

That gave me the reason to suspect that the rules would have changed in favour for those mainly posting in OT.

Posts in the OT haven't counted since Dec 2001.

    Unless I have been misinformed.

In which case I will presently disappear to the OT

(The only reason I stick around here is to get a higher post count)

BUt as faar as I know, OT posts don't count, there would have been glad rejoicing if they did- and there isnt

        Thanks, DarkCloud and Ming!

I was just checking as I've been away such a long time.

I've been here since July 2001, and I recall that the posts didn't count in the OT then... or do I?

I'm pretty sure that the change was more recent than that. Not sure, though, since July 2001 was probably during my 8-month hiatus.

Kassi, you're actually right, IMO. Wasn't it December 2000? Last time I was active here, was in last December, but OT didn't count at the time at all, or either did it months before December.

July sounds more correct than December does. But I'm too lazy to look it up.

Well, it's pretty irrelevant any way. I just thought that DarkCloud would be interested in finding the truth. (And I need to make sure my brain isn't getting soggy)

July seems more correct too. I remember posted June 2001 about the flood in Houston and my posts not counting.

I'm pretty sure they allowed Ming to reach Deity level before closing down the spamming posts count in the OT

Hydey, your comment actually makes sense to me...

I've heard, that the OT-posts haven't counted since March 2001...

I thought it was around early November 2001, right in a period when I started to visit the OT a bit more again (just before the Dutch Apolyton meeting that month). Then again, that could just have been the first time I actually noticed.

The big question is, was it before or after 9-11?

Definitely before 9.11.2001... and a lot.

When I came to apolyton, the OT-posts didn't count
