Was the server down?
I wasn't able to connect to 'Poly during the weekend. Was the server down or was it just my connection?

Yes, I think that the server was down. I was not able to access Apolyton during all the weekend. When it went down, I was posting a message...

As far as I can see, the site has been up again for less than 2 hours, so what can you expect? We just received an email from Apolyton's admin DanQ about their latest downtime. Apolyton has been down for more than 24 hours. It was a really rough weekend for the Civ community.
Here is an excerpt from the notice:
"We (the ACS administration) and our hosts are currently aware of the server problems and the extended (24hrs.+) downtime that has resulted to date. Our hosts have been busy working on diagnosing and resolving the problem and as of yet we have not received any word as to the exact nature of the problem; at this point, however, they are undoubtedly concentrating their effort on getting the server back online in as timely and efficient manner as possible. It is not aware if the intermittent blackouts experienced earlier this week are related to the present difficulties, but at this point nothing is being ruled out."
