It's only good news if it actually happens, if Civ3 actually gets better (or at least more moddable) than CtP2.
Meanwhile, back in reality, CtP2 is getting better every single day while I haven't seen Civ3 improve much since the patch was released almost 2 months ago. Sure, there are plenty of mods out there for Civ3 but giving +1 movement to the spearman (like in Civ3) isn't exactly the same as adding strategic resources, adding a civ surrender feature or merging civs (like we're currently working on in CtP2)...
