    Devil's Advocate re-says:

One is a name, presumably registered because the register of it thought that a point could be made by allowing others to see it from a different perspective, not because they are a sick troll. The other is an image of a guy about to be shot. You say this is a picture of him when he hasn't been fighting like a man? So you're not just killing him, but killing him when he's defenseless? And you say after he's been interrogated. So why is he being shot through a crosshair?
Your avatar is depicting a murder.

    There is no neutrality.
    Bull****.

Look at the bright side. I spared all your delicate sensibilities from an animated .gif showing the results of bin Laden taking a .30-06 IQ test.
    Thank heaven for small mercies.

      Give the kid a break

The "Bin Liner" bit, which I read as garbage bag, suggests to me the hapless newbie in question is actually no fan of you-know-who. Was OBL tried after the Bin Liner one failed? Not a DL in that case - just a newbie getting tangled up in the registration process I suspect.

So, is this a case of an innocent newbie getting shot at the cyber check point by the "forces of freedom"? Another civilian casualty of the conflict in that case
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

        don't worry...

if they come in with an OBL login...that person will be punished enough by the posting public. Might as well let them in and see what they have to say.

Actually in certain issues there IS no neutrality... technically you could say this about all issues.

There are just certain degrees of FOR and AGAINST.

          examples:

          WWII.

          "Neutrals"
          -
          Spain-> Supported Fascist Regimes
          America-> Helped British shipping
Switzerland-> (Not quite sure if they were a true neutral... they are not mentioned much in history)

Others either leaned one way or the other

In South Africa (Boers- Mainly support the Germans; Brits- Mainly support the English)

          etc.

Thus, there is very, very, very rarely any true neutral government- because in a time of war governments are forced to alter policies towards both nations... Unless they can alter policies equally, then it is unlikely the nation is truely NEUTRAL in the sense of the word.

            I disagree, DC.

Switzerland was neutral. Spanish and American were not, as you showed.

There are questions that you can't be neutral on, as in...

Pakistan - do we let them use our airspace or not.

It's yes or no, there is no "maybe".

But this is certainly not all the time, and there are plenty of issues where you can be neutral.

"Case, what was Albert Speer supposed to do about it? Hmm? I think that of all the people in the Nazi government, Speer was the "least bad", compared to the others he was actually a pretty decent guy..."
Well, indirectly at least, Albert Speer did more damage than most of the Third Reich elite since he did some really effective work in increasing wartime production to weopons etc. that certainly prolonged by war and gave the Nazis more time to kill more people.

Perhaps you should explain that to say, Jewish posters, as a justification for allowing poster names like Josef Mengele, Reinhard Heydrich, or Erich von dem Bach-Zelewski?

The other is an image of a guy about to be shot. You say this is a picture of him when he hasn't been fighting like a man?
Actually, I referred to al Qaeda in general, but you can apply that to bin Laden as well.

So you're not just killing him, but killing him when he's defenseless?
War isn't a ****ing sport. There's nothing "fair" about it. In his case, as a leader of a terrorist organization, and one who has called for a holy war on the west, you just waste the son of a ***** at the first opportunity.

And you say after he's been interrogated.
That was a reference to other al Qaeda members.

So why is he being shot through a crosshair?
Because I presume he'd have enough fighters and footsoldiers around, and he'd be armed, such that it wouldn't be feasible to just walk up and do him with a combat knife.

Your avatar is depicting a murder.
War dear. An act of war, against an enemy of the United States.

                      Bull****.
If you're "neutral" towards a mass-murdering ******* like bin Laden, then you're totally ****ing clueless. Try explaining your "neutrality" if you have the misfortune to spend some time with some of his associates.

OBL was first, bin Liner was second. If Mark or Dan want to let someone register under that name, then that's their prerogative.

                          Probably doesn't matter now anyway

If the little newbie saw this thread he is probably cringeing in a corner sucking his thumb by now

For some reason this whole thing reminds of that incident in National Lampoon Vacation where Clarke Griswald drives off with the dog tethered to the back bumper of his car

For picking a handle OBL at this time, then good if he is.
If he wants to register under a different handle, then fine.
