This is absolutely too much like a soap opera I've missed the first half of. What did these fellows Spink and YYYH do that was so terrible they got booted? Does Dookie=Infatuation=Spink?

Well, Spink and Chris 62 were fiancées, but then it turned out that YYYH had fathered Spink's illegitimate child that he had during his marriage to Ming, so Chris was going to leave him, but then it turned out they were actually identical twins separated at birth.

Nah. Stupid gag. The real story is basically that they "invaded" the forums of another hosted site on the Gamestats network, and were banned for life because of this. Spink sneaked back as a DL, and eventually got integrated enough again to be perfectly accepted by the community, and the admins have no problems with it. This was all over two years ago, anyway.

In the case of Mr SS, it was when people started dropping allusions to it, such as calling him "Stew". A bit of a giveaway.

In the case of the aforementioned historical character, it was the first time he edited one of his posts only to produce a message reading "This post has been edited by Yo Yo Yo Hey". Again, a bit of a giveaway, albeit an odd one.

So what does this go to show? If this is what passes as subterfuge God help us if there's another war...

good to see life ban at apolyton has same sort of meaning as life imprisonment here in australia. After maybe 8-10 you get out of jail , here it was less than 2 years ... gee life isnt as long as it used to be

It is possible to have a sneaking feeling that the owners here, and mods for that matter, are possibly not such guys as go in for such OTT propositions as lifetime bans but that, like us all, they are not always 100% free to do at all times exactly what they like, even on an internet site which they own and run.

So, if said sneaking suspicion were to be right and a further sneaking suspicion that posters here would probably all agree with said attitude of said owners and mods, then it becomes possible to see why persons of sense might first openly refer (that is refer in places where persons who might have a part in limiting freedom of said owners and mods might occasionally peek) to said ancient history and current shared attitudes thereto but then delete said references.

Lefty- Actually even the rich don't get decent mental health care here in the US. You see psychiatrists generally come from the bottom 5 to 10 percent of their medical school classes. I did some of my training at a psychiatiric hospital considered one of the best in America. The main advantage over an average institution they had was nicer decor and a population whose parents could pay for an indefinate stay regardless of what was or wasn't being accomplished.

I'm soooo sorry I spoiled the pissing match, but with one participant having been allegedly banned I thought that the match was over.
