Oh finally someone else than just me wakes up and brings forward the idea of either donations or sponsored memberships.
Also worth to notice that I have indeed flashed the idea of a European mirror server, if the incomes for covering the expenses grow and the member and guest figures keep rising and cause more and more traffic. Which would all be possible with donations or sponsored memberships.

We're suggesting donations, not membership fees. Free riders will still be welcome, but some of us are willing to pay to make sure the site runs well. I've already got a mousepad, and I'm planning on getting a stien in honor of my 21st birthday at the end of summer. I'm just as happy to make a donation as well

If Apolyton is willing to accept donations....then YES!!! I myself believe that this site is worthy of being financially supported.
This issue has been brought up in the past...and it has always died in place. I am in agreeance that Apolyton should remain as a "free" membership site...but on the same token, I fully support the idea of being able to monetarily donate support for this site! I, and many others feel this site is worth my/our hard-earned dollars.
