Also, my understanding of the "no design upgrade" rule does not mean that you cannot design new units. It means that you cannot upgrade all units of a specific type at the same time through the design work shop. Instead, you have to do it unit by unit, and take that unit's turn to upgrade it. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I agree about the "No Accelerated" start: being Gaian, I am very sensitive about base placement, and their effects on the local ecology.

I think t_ras meant by "accelerated start" the usual CMN acceleration (ie several colony pods, a couple of scouts, maybe a former, etc) rather than the pathetic in-game "accelerated start" option that gives you drone problems from day 1 (as well as a useless SP - I was the Hive in one and got the CDF !!)

(and what's this alleged bug re workshop upgrades?)

              State settings or not?

I can't agree. If one has concrete ideas how the game should be (i.e. map, settings, rules) and is looking for other who join, it is good to pulish all setting sat once, this will speed up the decision if or if no one will join, and, if the settings are well balanced or not and if there has to made a correction.
