All you need to do is click the start button and hit run and then type winipcfg and hit enter. At least that is how I did it yesterday when I learned how to find my ip address for the first time. I had no clue what the guy was talking about at first when he said to "use winipcfg".
On another note I am guessing that it is best that it be knowhow2's turn when we start direct connection. (I think that is what Walt indicated last time).
