Why? We're a bunch of geeks here--UoP has all the cool tech, and the Morganites have all the nifty toys!
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

        Why did you move it?

This doesn't belong in the AC forum - it doesn't really have anything to do with the game. I was asking it for purposes of comparing ideologies.

I believe that I would have joined the Gaians. Partly because of Deidre partly because I share their beliefs.

Maybe moving this thread wasn't such a bad idea, now we've got another two gaians.

University. Hmm. Perhaps with a more moral attitude as the Believers. But not that fanatic. And led by Deirdre

Or: The Planetarian Singers. A new faction mainly trying to combine the Song of Planet with Bachs polyphony. Not so much interested in anything else:
+2 Planet (want to study Song of Planet)
+1 Research (want to study Song of Planet)
+2 Probe (don't think of anything else)
-2 Growth (don't think of anything else)
                      -1 Economy (who cares?)
                      -1 Industry (who cares?)
Free musical practising room at every base. 1 (musical) talent every 4 citizens.

                      To be balanced ...
Why doing it the easy way if it is possible to do it complicated?

University, though PKs and Gaians would be my second choices.

If there were an "Evil Empire" faction (I don't think the Hive qualifies, on account of not being evil enough), I'd join

                          Morganites for Me .
Altough, I would probably leave with the Datajack crowd. They have the best values. (Wealth or Knowledge, rather than Power)

My second choice would be UoP, then Gaians, PK's, Spartans, Hive, Believers.
I'm not sure what would be so bad about living in the Hive, under Police State / Planned atleast life would be simple. Add Wealth and it might even be enjoyable.
And the Believers come last because of there research, they are more than 10 years behind getting Cent Eco and anything even close to civilisation.

(Someone mentioned joining the Morgans on the off chance of joining the cyborgs, but IIRC the Cyborgs are a splinter group from UoP)

I'm sorry to anyone who hates Sister Miriam, but I'd have to go with the Believers.

Of course Sister Miriam's escape pod was cut off from the rest of the ship. The only reason she ended up there was because she fled the UoP. Here is a new equation: Some of you might be stuck on Miriam's Pod, and have to go with the Believers or die on the Unity.
Don't rule me out when I'm losing. Save your celebration until after I'm gone.

PS/Planned to FM/Wealth in one year, I think this is exactly the problem the people of east Germany had to face. And I think (being from west Germany) this is a huge difference, especially in terms of a "simple life". No wonder there is the "eastalgia" -- the german "Ostalgie" gives the better pun -- of many. Life has become much more complex and difficult.

But, since no such faction existed on Unity (A downright shame), I chose University.
Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!
