University or Cybernetic Consciousness? I will go for University since CyCon rejects all emotions, including joy.

The sole thing that defines humanity is technological progress. Without our abbility to learn and discover new things, man would be two-legged wolf food. Since our first ancestor discovered to use toold, to this day, when we travel to the moon and split atoms, this is who we are. We are human.

A society run by thirst for knowledge can be the only right one, since only such societies can be run properly, by people who are capable and creative. I do not know why people think of Zak to be so genocidal. Experimenting on humans? It can be done easily on death sentence convicts, and finally those prisoners are finally usefull to the state.

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man. --G.B.Shaw

OR, you could just steal everyone's hard work and screw everthing up for everyone. That is fun, and brings me great joy. Too bad Cyborgs can't do that. I still vote for Angels.

True, but you have to actually capture the base. For me to get technology, all I have to do is steal it. And to ensure that I don't miss anything, I place an infiltrator in every faction. Remember, Angels get any tech discovered by 3 factions that you have infiltration.

I'd rather face down the enemy and know that behind me are hundreds of thousands of citizens that are backing me up.

I think that the University has the problems that it does (drones, -2 PROBE) because of a failure to admit this; perhaps the University should allocate more energy to political technologies and leave off the genetic monstrosities and nerve gases?

I think Zakhorav needs to spend a couple days in one of Miriam's temples. That'll fix him up nice.

You're thinking like Yang, not Zack. Zakharov rejects all false truth, he only sees hard scientific knowledge as useful. Miriam and Yang, however, are not afraid of using false truth to engineer their society.

False truth? Real truth? Wow, there are lots of "heroic science" fans here...

I think Yang's version of "truth" is just different, not "false". I think that you could also argue (and religious folks would certainly agree with me on this) the same for Miriam.

                        • As I said earlier, I can't think of one leader on Centauri that isn't either insane or obsessed with their idealogies. Everyone has a problem. None of them are normal. Then again, I can't think of one person that is normal. But still, they're are all to some degree crazy. Except for maybe Roze, she may be the only decent person in the bunch, except she has such a lack of authority, so much like me, but only with good reason.

                          • I'm all for capitalism, but CEO Morgan doesn't believe in environmental protection. On Earth that means a slow accumulation of expensive but solvable problems over the span of a few centuries; on Chiron it means the planet itself wakes up and tries to kill you. Provoking such wrath isn't very smart.
Actually, Morgan dosen't believe in planned. He can run green, just not very well.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

                            • I'm not all that familiar with the expansion factions (still trying to get my hands on it)

I'd have to go with University. A small part of me likes the gaians, but the university is a better fit.

                              • Oops, I meant Norway. Norway is the country famously powering its Socialist principles on its huge oil reserves. It's right next to Sweden, so, y'know ... err ... nobody's perfect ...

                                @Mad Monk:

I always run Morgan Green, but Morgan himself I'm sure would blanch at the thought.
