Bad news. Here's the base screen from Fellowship City. That eastern coastal base which SCC Invincible noticed the base sea radius of, before exploring further east. The forces support box shows two laser foils heading straight east. I guess this could mean they're sailing as fast as possible to make contact with Zakharov and Lal, just like Zak's trannie probably heading straight to us as well. This means Yang could in the near future trade DocFlex to Zakharov. With that in mind, that we don't have any monopoly on DocFlex at all and that the tech could soon be widespread, how about we change our previous policy and trade DocFlex to Zak for another tech? (At least if he still needs DocFlex - it's been a while ago we contacted him.)

The latest Faction Dominance Chart of MY 2136.
The general picture still hasn't changed compared to years ago:

Yang well in the lead, followed by Zakharov and Lal.

Of the human factions, Morgan still leads the way, and has slightly increased his lead over the other others.

The Gaians have over the last decade made a jump from the weakest faction to a more or less shared spot with us as the second most powerful human faction. The cause of this is most likely their switch to Planned economics a decade ago and the following faster population growth: they are the human faction with most citizens.

The Angels recently had a drop in population of minus three or four or so. This explains their current red lantern position. But I guess their pop drop was because of simultaneously building a few CPs, so after they've founded a couple bases, I expect they'll again be as powerful as Gaia and Sparta.

The current population totals and government systems:

      Sparta: 10 Planned
      Gaia: 11 Planned
      Hive: 40 PS/Planned
      University: 18 Demo/Planned
Angels: 7 Wealth (weird they're not running Planned or FM)
      Morgan Ind: 10 FM/Wealth
      PKs: 14 Demo/Planned

Gaia has surpassed as the second most powerful human faction: We're now Pathetic instead of Feeble.
Reason is probably them researching Industrial Automation. So who knows we'll surpass them again next year after we get NonlMath.

        Population:
        Sparta: 11
        Gaia: 11
        Hive: 38
        UoP: 19
        Angel: 8
        Morgan: 9
        PK: 13 (=> 26 council votes)

Hmm, the Hive is not using their impact weapon technology.

The Morganites built the Humane Genome Project in Impaler Polymers.

                    Awesome!!!

I think the Gaians would find this very helpful. What do you think we could trade for this map data?
Civ IV is digital crack. If you are a college student in the middle of the semester, don't touch it with a 10-foot pole. I'm serious.

Excellent. If we are short on cash, we could ask for some of that, otherwise, we could keep it hidden and throw it in if we end up in a deadlock in the tech trade negoatiations. Everything helps.

Hive map has been tidied up a bit.

Also note that the Gaians have started on The Weather Paradigm

And here's the Hive's Security Nexus for 2140 - note that he doesn't have any trannies, and only 1 probe team (but it's on the move, as it's not showing up in any base's garrison). It is homed to Labor Network (their most southerly base) so I'm assuming it's en-route to infiltrate the Gaians (another bargaining chip for us - I'll cross post this in the gaian diplomacy thread)

This might fall under the heading of:

Department of Misinformation (Otherwise known as "Dirty tricks dept."

How'sabout I post a screenie next turn {"inadvertently", of course) in the Public Forums turn reporting thread (pretending I though that it was our own turn reporting thread), then swiftly (but not too swiftly) ask Method?Drogue to move it into our private forums thread.??

It'd be plausible given my flustering this turn (LOL< perhaps even with the message:

I got it right this time and closed the screen before saving. and posted this:

                            SYNTHETIC FOSSIL FUELS?!

You'd just have to make sure we won't get caught on it. Make sure it's possible for the tech list to look like that, that we could have possibly gotten the techs, etc.

No, I don't think there is a rule against being evilly devious I like the idea, you can go ahead with it as far as I am concerned. As long as the mods don't spill the beans on its true nature.
