  • Maximum space per user is 30mb according to my screen. I'm a Plus member.

Maniac: Why don't you just attach the last 20 saves in a single zip to a new post in the turn tracking thread? That way you won't need to rewrite the thread out and change links to the new thread. Then you can remove the links and uploaded presaves and all is well.
Then again, Googlie has already compiled the entries into a single post, so whatever is easier for you is fine.

I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

    • Hmm - I'm a nothing member (except veteran from inception). But it says max per user is 58MB. See screenshot below

        • I can't believe this.

Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

          • My Rynn D/L has 20 MB, so I'm thinking maybe it's a function of longevity (Rynn's registered in 2000) and prior usage (I was a prolific user as last game's CMN)

No - that was a screenie of my smax windows filebox (where it showed all the acdg3 spartan saves from 2101 to 2120)

              • Could be. I'm regged in 01 but I've never ever used the Upload. People get so much shadow bans over it that I just prefer not to take the risk at all. The 5 MB I get from my ISP is enough for the odd file and pic.

I was referring to the first post of the Turn-Reporting thread, where you have compiled all the turn report text into one easy-to-copy post.

                        OMG! Yes. Absolutely.

This is what it means to be a Spartan. It's not the killing or the suffering that matters. It's the purity of focus, without fear of death or pain.

                          ...

Basically it's a gamble: instead of building scouts and having a a low economic growth, we currently choose for a tactic that should normally give us a much higher economic growth, but also an increased risk of failure (however IMHO the increased benefits are much higher than the increased risks).

I want to emphasize this to anyone who wants to cross over from single-player to multi-player.

Here is another excellent lesson on how to gain turn advantage in the very early game.

Yea. Good point (And another great lesson).

This works pretty well in single-player.

                            But...

Not in my experience with multi-player. Problem being that humans have the darndest thing of doing things that the AI won't - like NOT being predictable. Then your beautiful system of organized production has to be changed. Which creates more confusion for you, than you would have had before.

I'm with you in spirit on this one buddy.
God, I've tried to implement it successfully in PBEM's, so many times. I can only remember it being successful by the amount of fingers on one hand - and I had a few left over.

This is also an especially bad habbit to get into if you've been infiltrated.
