They do if you put armor on the crawlers

Check out the small test I built - attack with the Spartan scout and see the defensive bonus the armored, commando Morgan crawler gets from it's base's biocenterand command center

One solution to that problem is, once a new set of screenshots have been posted, removing the image tags of previous turns' screenshots. The advantage is it doesn't clog up the thread. But the drawback is of course you need to click a link every time you want to see an older screenshot.

dragged the Hive to a prominent position - sheer dictatorship
In the early days of my so called rule. The MSN discussions I had were quite intense and with many people. I only started posting discussion threads and MSN discussions seriously when activity started dropping off and I started getting frightened.

I admit it was borderline dictatorship (borderline because I quietly getting the diplomatic decisions made by Voltaire and later Honghu), it wasn't intentional, and I hated sitting around by myself with nobody to discuss things with.

My main problem was when I get myself into perfectionist mode it's a struggle to break myself out. Also I didn't realise what I was doing until too late.

I'm happier being under a dictator than being one. That's part of the reason why I managed to get end up a dictator so fast. People realised that they could put their foot down and I would let them make the decision. Ironic that by not waiting to be the sole decision maker I brought it about faster.

          Googlie, hrmm that's brillant.

*grins as he thinks of the PBEM he's in*

Elite armored formers are cheaper than rover formers and have a better defence.

Hrmm I really shouldn't be giving strategy advice here.

well, they do have the -50% non-combatant penalty, and don't get a monolith upgrade, but .....

(and it's better with 3-res and trance

When you armor the -50% non-combatant penalty gets removed I think.

I'm thinking more clean-infantry-formers. For military road building. Rover-clean formers are far more expensive.

Hey, you're right. I'd forgotten that in the 3 years since I first ran those tests (and didn't pick it up in that little scenario test I put together)

Indeed, your scenario confirms that the -50% gets removed.

I like "The Phalanx" as a name for our newspaper because it's simple, everyone is familiar with it, is sounds cool, and it pays homage to the original Spartans.

I also thought it could be "The Corazon Report" or "Operation: Blood and Honor."
Civ IV is digital crack. If you are a college student in the middle of the semester, don't touch it with a 10-foot pole. I'm serious.

Those sound more like names for special editions (e.g. declarations of war, or whatever), although 'The Corazon Report' could be the military section when we had one.

Hrmm I need to write something in here to make it seem like I'm not writing low quality spam..... hrmm but what else is there to write?????

I mean the question was so simple.... how can I possibly say it in more than one word.

Darn Honghu for making her questions concise and direct.
