Explored some with needlejets and sea units

Rushed some colony pods, and a network node in our best city for labs.

Did not send Neural Grafting to Morgan as there was no consensus on the issue. There's no rush, fortunately.

Explored more with needlejets - next turn we can harass Lal if we like.

Moved 3 CPs towards prospective base sites: (54, 70), (63, 79), and (55, 57), our former forward base against the Hive.

      Nothing worth rushing.

Fixed a drone riot at Dreams of Green caused by producing a colony pod then growing in the same turn.

Producing more formers to take advantage of boreholes and condensors.

Angels researched MMI and will finish the Cyborg Factory next turn.

Spartans offered Doc: Init for Neural Grafting. Net Warrior and I agreed that it's a bad deal.

Moving to try to capture a random mind worm in the north.

Found the easternmost extent of our continent.

Attacked PK base at (77, 65) for a free morale upgrade - killed the defender and the base.

Founded Razorbeak Wood's Memory, rushed a rec tank.

Shifted crawlers and workers near Fallow Time.

New colony pod at Virgin Soil heading for the sensor northwest of it.

            Mid-turn save:

ex-PK base visible -- this is the first Spartan base we've seen directly.

Captured the mind worm near the Hive.

Founded a base in the wastes, near a monolith.

Good news on the MW capture.

I've got some ideas if you still have the turn. What about trading NG to Morgan who is about to complete that tech next year. Where's our diplomatic corps anyway?

              (1) move the worker at Red Water Spring to the river then leapfrog workers from-to cleared forests at VS, FT, and DM, so DM can work another forest square.
              (2) move either the jet or speeder to Razorbreak Woods for police to get that worker out and about.
              (3) move the crawler at Silverbird Park from the forest to the fungus (or the +1 energy square) to give the worker the forest square.
              (4) crawl 2 energy at 65 73 to Blessed Autumn for a +1 in both EC's and Labs.

                End-turn report

Offered Neural Grafting pre-accepted, as suggested.

                1) Accomplished
                2) AFAIK, planes cannot serve as police, but the rover works fine
                3) Accomplished
                4) You seem to be confused as to what crawler belongs to what base. I couldn't see a way to accomplish what you suggested.

                  (4) Your corrrect in that the SP crawler could only crawl nuts and not energy. The BA crawler could have moved from the forest to the river mountain energy bonus square 65-73 and crawled 2 energy. Sorry for the confusing advise.
I don't like crawling one min from there when 2 energy are available. I guess I'm just an incouragable micromanager

BTW, I just had an afterthought. We could most likely have played with the slider a bit and added some energy to labs and completed our research one turn sooner. We'll have to remember to look at this again next turn.

We finish Intellectual Integrity in 2 turns, but can push it to 1 turn if desired, though it wouldn't be easy. Simply moving the sliders won't do it, since we lose too much to inefficiency.

Received Bio-Engineering from Morganites. Starting on the clean former horde. We need to consider going for the Longevity Vaccine, and possibly negotiate this with pactmates.

Trying to move our IoD to seas west of Hive territory.

Planting our last active CP next turn, then switching to Demo.

Found an artifact masquerading as a unity pod.

Planted our last colony pod, and switched to Democracy. As several bases already have children's creches, this means pop booming! An open question is whether our terraforming should favor condensor-farms or forests + tree farms. As things currently stand, our east is primarily forests and our west is more condensor-farms. I'm not sure if we've had a pop yet (there's a message this turn about one near Enigma Machine, for some reason), but we can't productively delay tree farms much longer.

Next turn we'll have Intellectual Integrity, one way or another. At that point, we can upgrade most of our police force to clean cops, 2-row units that control 2 drones and cost no support. Those plus rec commons quell 4 drones, allowing us to easily pop boom bases to size 5, at which point they can control the rest of their drones with productive specialists.

                        Partial turn report:

Accepted Intellectual Integrity from the Angels.
                        Researched Centauri Empathy.
Had choices of Progenitor Psych, PolySoft, and Doc: Init for our next tech. Based on previous discussion, picked PolySoft.

Upgraded all our scout patrols to clean-police scout patrols, at a cost of 220 ECs.

Holding the turn to allow comments on the plan for the Longevity Vaccine.

                          End-turn report:

Set us up for the Longevity Vaccine as described in the appropriate post.

Sent Centauri Empathy to the Angels pre-accepted, as agreed.

Set up completion of Longevity Vaccine as planned. Now we have very strong drone control - 2/base for free, 2 from a 16-mineral unit (clean cop), and 2 from a 32-mineral rec commons.

The Spartans have started the Ascetic Virtues. This will help them as far as increasing their population cap, but it won't do that much for their drone control.

Rushed children's creches at Skeletal Woods and Oaken Shadow.

Rushed a net node at Dreams of Green.

Finished the Longevity Vaccine. Rushed Tree Farms and Children's Creches. With the extreme drone control of the Longevity Vaccine in Planned and clean police, abundant nutrients, and +6 growth, our star is ascendant.

Spotted Spartan troops five tiles from one of our bases, in the sea to our east. They don't pose an immediate threat, and the Spartans may not realize we spotted them. However, the fact they covered their ships with a jet rather than allow it to repair probably indicates distrust towards us.

After the end of the turn, the University and the Hive agreed to combine forces against the Morganites.

Rushed a couple of creches to spread our pop boom.
Converted some workers to librarians either because they were producing unnecessary food or to stave off drone riots.
Offered Morgan Intellectual Integrity for Polymorphic Software (our current research goal).
The Spartans eliminated the Peacekeepers and posed us some diplomatic questions, as described in the Spartan diplomacy thread.
Spartan plane sighted just off-shore near Oaken Shadow.
We've surpassed the Morganites on the power chart.
