  • It's only a couple of turns until both the scout and the spore launcher can get back to bases. If you're really that antsy, though, the scout patrol can head north.

Fallow Times can probably switch production to a CP without a penalty. I'm going to start a poll on production to try to sort this out.

As far as future colony pods, I say the pod from Gaia's Landing should go two tiles southwest and found a base there, using the adjacent monolith, and later some of the rainy terrain. The next CP after that should go near or in the Uranium Flats, perhaps on the original base #3 site.

    • I think we're mostly settled then. I don't see a problem with FT building a CP if you think that's best.

      • We don't necessarily need scouts to protect a base, as long as a former can get there in one turn by either being adjecent to it or on a road connected to it. Also, once bases are connected by roads than we can defend them with fewer units, and at that point we'd need to worry more about police than defenders.

I'd rather see the next base 4 away from GL, SW of the monolith, rather then 2 away from GL. We're pretty tight now and we'll want to pop boom at some point down the road. We have time to discuss this base placement question later though.

        • Net Warrior: we apparently have very different ideas on base placement, as I see our current spacing as rather loose

We will want to pop boom, of course, but it should be more of a perpetual pop boom, driven by Demo/Planned/Creche, rather than a quick spurt as most factions prefer. Once we get some condensors going, even rather tightly packed bases can grow rapidly. Besides, even if we pack tightly in one direction, we can pack loosely in another, and still have plenty of workable tiles per base. Four tiles from HQ just seems too far, and 3 isn't possible.

          • Turn's in! I won't be playing it for a few hours, though, so you have this one last opportunity to influence this turn, including the choice of build at base #4 (see poll).

            • Roze has all our techs, but so does Morgan. Spartans also got information networks. I will examine other turns to determine when did this happen.

              • Last year Morgan got Planetary Networks and Santiago got Information Networks! We are falling brhind in research comapred to Angels and Morgan - we will need an alternative to compensate this in future.

                • Well, consider that the Angels start with an extra tech, and Morgan starts ready to go FM, and rake in energy. We will catch up to the Angels unless they go FM, though, and that's our factional weakness. We need boreholes and specialists to compensate.

                  • Plan of Action for MY 2123.

I am sorry for quality of the screenshot, I will try to provide a second one soon. You should see all orders. Since formers aren't finished, it remains to move units according to predetermiend routes, and make doctor in base #2 a worker again.

                        • Well, there's not too much for this turn that wasn't discussed last turn. I'm fine with dropping the unity rover on our foil and finding land, possibly the landmass to the west.

When we finish our road, we can drop a solar panel 1 tile east of base #2, to boost its energy output by 2. After that, we need forests, so they can go forth and multiply.
