Maybe before we accept treaty with Spartans we should avail of that loan from Zak ( to compensate for the loss of our two probe units.

We need to start thinking about attacking Yang soon before he builds too many Aerospace complexes.

Some drop garrisons with AAA would be useful.

I already accepted Spartan Treaty. But Zakharov should still lend us some money.

I do not think we can do anything regarding Ascetic Virtues. Spartans are already in the mode of taking what they can. And our recent failure with drop probes places us in bad position for any bargain with them. We should note that and remember for the future not to enter any such agreements any more with Spartans.

Could someone test Zakharov lending us money after Spartan treaty acceptance? what to offer him? payment schedule?

• Quite bad news. I sent Sioux from HS to attack the spore launcher, and although the chances were 27:14 it lost were SL had 90% damage. Plasma defender completed kill. I happen to have such results on occasion, but did not think it would happen here. I need to be more cautious in the future. I know there are some posts on that problem.
• The second attack was better. B-6 got commando status. From both attacks we have 40EC.
• I left one F-6 in EM for defense. I think we might have it there or even 2 fighters for all the time.

Ok, I am posting from another computer. So can't download afaik. My own computer screen remains blank (I was moving the units around when this fault happened). Luckily I am still within warranty.

The computer starts and all that, but the screen remains black. The little monitor light blinks green but it is as if it is permanent standby mode. I hear the Microsoft XP start and end excerpts, when I open and close.

I hope this won't last too long.

Any links to air combat places are appreciated. I will try to find some myself, but maybe you know something better at the moment.

I would use our other B-6 instead of Sioux, but it needed to refuel. We could wait a turn on the other hand. Is chopper really not that good when with standard armament against native life?

No it is usually quite good and especially with those odds. But outcomes like that happen from time to time.

Thanks Forester. It is CRT.

However thru trial and error and talking to Dell (as my set up is still within warranty), it turned out to be that the video card was dislodged. On their talk thru check list I powered up the monitor only ( disconnected from the tower) and it did a self test. I could see colours on screen, so it wasn't the monitor.

So, with Dell on-line guidance I opened up the tower block and reset the video card.

Sounds like an ad for Dell, I know but it worked.

Nothing really. Some schoolboys stole drop equipment and landed in PK territory in the middle of Spartan assault. Of course, our militaristic friends could not see the difference and killed them as if they were hostile agents.

• Gaians offered Bio-Engineering in the commlink. Does that mean Spartans got it too, so it no longer matters if we receive it?
• We have 2 more aerospace complexes. We may build 5 air units at a time.
• Our probe foil between PK and Gaian territory is next to a unity pod. Will we attempt to pop it up? If there is IoD, there is a chance to escape.
• Proposed new building items:
  KP --- F-6 (in 2 turns)
  HG --- F-6 (in 2 turns)
  DC --- Formers
  MP --- Formers
• Proposed hurrying:
  FH --- crawler full 19 EC
  GMx -- Command center full 28 EC
  KC --- aerospace complex, partial 68 EC to have 10 minerals next turn. I thought of some crawler rearrangement.
  
  total 115 EC, balance 84 EC remaining.
• EM has kinda problem here. We may loose 2 minerals there next turn, unles workers reassigned or we now hurry the plane for 16 EC. expensive, 4 EC/1 mineral.
• Formers as shown.
  - Area between Gplex and Mart Pact, should we rise the ocean floor there?
  - Other place designed for rising, on rocky tile, build a road there so other helping formers could enter 1/3 move points? I know some terraforming gets destroyed, and we have sensor nearby. Anyway, road on the rocky - would it get destroyed?
  - Before the borehole I would plant forest on the spot south of Gplex. Borehole will be long process, so forest there would be beneficial for this time.
  - former from DC south to the rainy tile now over 1000 m elevation. To get road farm solar there.
  - Formers that got new borehole near RPS might go to new borehole location (3 tiles away) to get a new one near KC.
  - Sea former will make tidal harness this time.
• Some crawler relocation in order to get them near SH for HSA. The LIT would allow one of them to crawl minerals from the designated new borehole site. LIT may help a lot for this relocation.
• Detailed worker placement later, but we can get one more citizen in KC. HS can get one more too. Should be done much earlier actually.
• For future plans we may establish some new base NE from Fungal heights. A lot of forests there.
• Planes:
  - One B-6 must return to MP
  - The other may scout northern seas from HG
  - F-6 from RPS may scout hive border flying to HG
  - The other F-6 stays for good in EM, just in case...

The base visual for Yang Mine shows an Gaian IOD. Don't think it has probe on board but don't know. May be worth an air patrol to investigate that area.

We could ask Gaians to check their contact screen to the spartans and offer them Bio Engineering to see if Spartans have discovered it yet. If they have, then there is no reason for us not to get it, if they haven't I 'd wait for another short while.

That foil pod pop, the nearest base is MP so put an expensive build or a very expensive crawler, in there for the pop.


I don't know about raising the land just yet. Maybe wait until we have clean formers.
