I am considering one of a few options.

One, is a three way pact with Gaia, DA, and Morgan.

We all share all our tech to leapfrog. We assist you and Gaia as much as we can. DA and Gaia assist Morgan and each other as much as possible. We all try to counter Sparta.

Two, is to abandon the game and let end turn be pushed repeatedly.

Three, is to surrender to Sparta.

Without a complete coordinated response towards Sparta's worldwide domination with a three way (DA, Gaia, Morgan) alliance I'm not sure we should continue.

I will let my very straightforward oppinion be placed here:
Morganities require a decent kick in the a**.

When we lost Planetary Grid System we did not cry and abandon the game. I know, it is difficult to play when loosing the game, but this is not a simple, common game like a singleplayer. It is Demo Game.

I think we should write to Mods, that if Morganities do something like that - abandoning the game - I would propose in the order of from best to worst option:

1. Nominate a Dictator, a player who would play to the best of his/her abilities.

2. Put on the AI.

At this point in the game, I am in favour of working closely with Morgan (but not in a pact, just yet) and with the Gaians to get Doc: Air and MMI.

As we haven't built up our defences sufficiently I am not prepared to go to war with the Spartans at this time. Plus Yang is again advancing towards us.

Just opened 2166 to be greeted by Yang demanding Intel Integ from us. He is seething (isn't he always).

So our choices are:

What is to be our response?

In the meantime, I am going to chose something within next 10 minutes and play on. If need be someone should keep a clean turn in case we change our response. We are allowed to test diplomatic responses.

I fear though that we are close to war with Yang. Otoh Intel Integ is not a big deal for us to send to Yang. The Spartans have built the CDF haven't they and Yang doesn't need to.

Ask S if they have CDF and if so give Yang what he want till we get our units ready then I would tell him to shove it.

Yep Spartans have built the CDF.

I transmitted Intel Integ and the B*****d wanted Env Econ as well. B*****d. So transmitted that also. We are at truce.

No progress on Gaian or Morgan front, though Morgans are at 60% Econ to boost their economy. It is now at 222ecs. They are building perimeter defences and 3t defence units. They fear an invasion.

Still no new techs and Zak won't talk to us.

Before we progress we need to decide our response to Yang.

Maybe you could test the other response to him : that is to pry from our cold dead fingers., to see if he announces Vendetta.

I am a night worker and will be going to sleep in about 30 min (noon).

My guess is that we could get away with denying him once but not twice.

If you want to play it safe then we can give him some info. It doesnot matter I feel since S has CDF already and S will go after Yang as soon as posible. Even earlier if us, Gaians and Morgans fight him.

I was wrong. He does Vendetta but Lal and Gaians are Pacted with us and Lal becomes the planet Govenor so I would play it "All or Nothing" and give Yang nothing and move all units with any defenceive capability to the Yang border.

I dont like bullying.

Just for curiosity I tried it with giving him II and then he wanted EE. In closing he wants us to go to a police state immediatly.

If we went police our economy and research would suffer and if we did not go to police then Yang would come knocking at our door again I feel.

Another reason why I would say no now and not get in the mess of apeasing one that wants to destroy us.
