For those not registered in Eventis, this message was posted there by Ouro_827, who is appearantly the appointed ambassador.

Greetings from the Gaian people!
I am Lord Ouro, who has been chosen by the Gaians as the head ambassador to the people of the Data Angels. I look forward to working with you and your people. Both my staff and myself are willing to co-operate with your security forces through screening to prevent any unfortunate harm from happening, in the interests of increasing trust. On your part, I ask that you deliver co-ordinates to our pilot of the city we will be based in, or a location where we can rendezvous with your people to be escorted to what will be our new home in the days to come. Now, on to the buisness at hand
In exchange for your technology on Industrial Applications for Automation, I have been authorized to offer in return, the permanent ownership of the spore launcher that is currently in your lands. Please reply with haste.
Sincerly,
Gaian Ambassador to the Data Angels
Lord Ouro
It's always possible that the transport foil(s) on which the Gaians came to us are popped, so that they do not have Doc:FLex (yet), but that would be quite an coincidence.

A spore launcher for Industrial Automation? This offer looks like from Morganities to me. Doctrine: Flexibility is a fair offer. What will we do with an army of spore launchers? fill the canyon with xenostuff?
---------------
Why not to ask if they posses any techs unknown to us?

Ah response!
Yes, it seems disappropriate indeed.
I could use it as a starter to include Doc:Flex as a sweetener.
I'll ask about the techs.

Sorry if I went ahead, but I posted this in Eventis.
Lord Ouro,
To be frank, the offer by the Gaian Union for Industrial Automation is on the low side. Doesn't the Lord of Progress have blueprints for better suited technologies in exchange for what we put on the negotiation table? We wish to remind you that, after all, our offered technology will open the gateways of progress to the Gaian Faction and such give the power to spread your principals outwards to more backward parts of Planet.
Sincerely,

If they are fast enough we might come to agreement so that in 2135 some offer will be sent?

Doesn't look like atm, we're 8-9 hours further and no response has been given. OTOH, they're a bigger team thus more likely to discuss things prolonged so every participant has it's say.
Perhaps I need to directly ask if they have Doc:Flex or not.
If not I like to press for at least one of their 'Unity' transports so we could move a probe or two behind the Hive lines.

We should not also reveal too much. Saying that we want Doc Flex in particular might show them our weak spot. They may feel that they would be able to bargin for more. We offer a good tech. I wonder how much they will value it.
And on the other side - would spore launcher give us anything more, apart from possibility of building more of them?

We can't even build more of them I think (but I never tested that actually). It's I think sth like popping a rover, we can't construct them ourselfes if we have one. We need at least to steal one for being able to do so without researching the tech.

We received this and I posted that message in Eventis:
To be frank with you too, we may not be clear, but Lordship of Progress is nearing discovery of Industrial Automation and it's secrets will be known to us soon. Our initial proposal of trade with spore launcher was to provide Angels with a unit that can easily explore xenofungus, which would be a great advantage and speed extraction of our troops.
However is spirit of cooperation we would like to would like to propose alternatative trade. If Angels would have such sight to gift Industrial Automation to Gaian Union in next planetcycle, Gaian Union would be able to redirect all its efforts into a technology that would benefit mutually to both of us. Lorship of Progress is very interested in researching secrets of the Humane Genome next, and if Angels are willing to gift secrets of Industrial Automation to us, we will return the favour to our Angel friends by teaching them secrets of humane genome planetcycle after that.
Further more, our Lordship of Progress suggests a research pact, in which both of our respective research departments will try to coordinate their efforts for more efficient ways of progress on this alien world.
Lord Administrator Illuminatus, on the behalf of High Council
My fellow diplomat(s),
It was with some anticipation that a response was awaited. Although not as forthcoming as we hoped, it shows progress.
Are we to assume that the Gaian Union has no techs to offer at this time for the exchange of Industrial Automation? You can easily check this by offering all your tech in the diplomatic screen to us and see if anything else then comlinks and worldmap shows up. This said just in case you were not aware of the feature.
Also, the Gaian Union appearantly prefers to have Biogenetics as soon as possible. How quickly does the Union wishes to own this tech?
We might be willing to offer Industrial Automation next time the opportunity comes, but a level 3 tech for a level 1 tech is rather disparitive. Is the Union imperative in changing to Biogenetics as first priority when we transfer Industrial Automation or can we ask you to research a higher level tech if possible?
Also, for another possible trade: would the Union be willing to trade a level 1 tech AND a unit of our choice for Industrial Automation?
The last would be most forthcoming I think, we have some substantial gain on our part while the Union gains two technologies within a few years.
And in response to another topic brought up: mutual beneficial research does sound as an excellent way to cooperate in the future.
Sincerely,
InfoTrader GeoModder
I try to get a Transport Foil out of this for sure! Even if we may only borrow it for a number of turns. Once we can transfer some or all of our probes on Hiverian shore we're probably free to roam to Spartans and Morgans!

It looks very interesting!
- Biogenetics is a very good tech - it allows recycling tanks. One of the best facilities in the whole game since it comes early. If we can get Biogenetics + a unity foil. I would consider it seriously.
- Research agreement sounds good. But there would be revealing of the research status between the two factions completely. We openly say what we have and do not have and they do the same. Can we trust them?
- About spore launcher - we do not probably need that much hiking around fungus? unless on some other continent with heavy "X" stuff
