Problem with the turn

I opened the turn first thing this morning, to see what was what, made a screenie and then saved under a new save name.

Now I can't open that saved turn with our password, nor (worse) even open the original

I've posted in our thread to see if anyone else can open either save, but none of our team seems to be reading the boards these days.

I'll reinstall smac/x on my laptop and see if that accomplishes anything, but that's not going to help within the next 24 hours or so (and in any event, is not the ideal platform for the game in this advanced state)

So the turn may be delayed depending on whether any other Spartans visit the thread (and if they are able to load the turn) and/or if I am able to get smac/x loaded and running (and able to open the turn)

I was still able to open the turn. I might be turnplaying this one.

I can open a save that Zeiter posted, but I'm hesitant to do anything with it, lest the problem re-occur

Zeiter will be the turnplayer this time round until I find out if the game is stable on my rig

Laptop crashed at the password screen for unknown reasons, so 1 reload warning. I also had a prob entering the password, but i dont think that left a additional reload

2203 (2) on to Gaia (year didn't advance)

Maybe be reload messages (I didn't get any) as I didn't expect to be playing the turn and some moves were started on my desktop, then finished on my laptop that I took with me to a friend's last night then transferred to the desktop this morning for finishing and e-mailing

Yeah - I dunno why I get a reload message in this game after I've saved mid-game then resumed at a later time (and I do save under a new name, such as xxx2003-midturn, etc)

Any other PBEM I'm in I can save and resume, and there's no relaod message, but in this I've had it several turns - and it's not really a reload anyway, just a resumption

Prolly this is tied in with the year not advancing, etc - just a regular FUBAR of a game now

Turn 2203-4 to Spartans

While Sinder Kata is off on a retreat with his senior council to determine the course of the Angel nation, he has asked me, a junior DJ, to conduct the operations.
