  • I am back and will do it as soon as I can.

    • Hmm - I'm not sure that this is the solution either.

We had almost 20 aircraft in the air at the end of the 2199 turn, that, if "skip moves" were selected upon "turn complete" for that balky 2200 year, will have crashed when we open the 2201 turn

That's too steep a price to pay just to get the game moving again, if there is any other way to accomplish the same result (maybe Drogue could at least land our aircraft prior to skipping to "turn complete"?)

      • Hey that dosnt sound half bad

Seriously, i agree that if the game goes on via this method, the planes should be landed. I take it they were not, and am surprised by that.

        • I'm assuming that Drogue just followed my "fix suggestion" and advanced the year by hitting "turn complete" for all 4 factions

We are also assuming ("hoping" may be a more apt word) that we won't have the same stall problem when we try to advance that 2201 turn to Gaians-2202. If the problem is persistent, then it's likely game over anyway, so the aircraft situation would be moot.

              • One of the Gaian planes hovering over water has been lost, therefore I suspect Spartan ones are gone too as it appears, the game has advanced 2 turns instead of one (half of the Gaian bases are in riots, which couldn't possibly have happened as I arranged the citizens for zero riots last turn).

Also from what my infiltration tells me, there are no signs of Spartan needlejets near Morgan bases (there were last time), and the copters residing there are at 20% health at best (I think I even saw more copters last time).

It also appears, suddenly ecodamage has risen as if someone has been doing atrocities..
Sea levels will rise by 66meters in next 20 years and fungus grows near one of the Gaian bases.

                What do we do now?

                  • That would be for the future, yes, but what we do in this game then?
Is this the end (what is the result of game then)?
                    Can anything more be done?

I don't think so, the 2200 Spartans turn, before you played it, was corrupted. However the 2200 Morganites one wasn't. I'm not sure what's causing this, as it's not due to the Morganite's disbanding their bases, since they haven't yet.

I'll turn on "return unit if at end of fuel range" and see if that skips all the air units home. If not I'll do it manually and repost the save to go from.

                        • The Morgan, 2200 turn has been played twice (once by chaunk, once by andid) and both of them have corrupted the save ???

                          • Not necessarily - it might be something that's Morgan-Sparta specific, given that the previous turn saw 16 bases change hands and some 40 to 50 units destroyed. That in itself might be sufficient to corrupt a PBEM

It could be that whoever played the Morgan to Sparta turn, and whoever opened and played the Sparta turn, was doomed

This way, (advancing one year by the CMN) we'll see if it's a temporary thing, or if indeed the game is toast

                            • Ok, here's the Gaian's 2201 save with all air units moved to their nearest base. Let's hope this works, I'm not sure why the mass destruction of the Morganites is causing the problem, but Googlie is probably correct that it is that. Strange.
