It'll probably get out on tomorrow's flight... Monday if the weather is bad then. You have to remember, I live in the middle of nowhere.... We can only get mail out in the winter, once a day, max.

Okay, is this going to be a mail card or a real one? Personally I won't be around by the time such a card would arrive, I'm on extended holidays starting next month. So I prefer a mail card.

How about this: write your message by hand and fax it to someone who can print out the faxes and maybe cut and paste all the messages on to one sheet (or two) for enclosure with the card. The person receiving the faxes should be close enough towhere Vel lives so that the card would arrive within a day or two.On the ISDG 2012 team at the heart of CiviLIZation

I don't have a fax. Can't think off hand where I could get to one either.
How about a card, that's sent around inside an envelope? Or was that the idea all along?
And what's the difference between a "real card" and a "mail card"?Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

Yes that is the idea all along, the card sent along inside an envelop. Though some people may not be able to do it due to various reasons.Be good, and if at first you don't succeed, perhaps failure will be back in fashion soon. -- teh Spamski

1) I´d prefer a large sheet of paper instead of a card, so that all of the messages can be on a single piece... (plus it can then be used as a poster)
2) Jamski has my mailing address, if not, I could resend it to him
3) We really need an optimized pattern for sending it, e.g. ending at Vel´s place (whereever that is?), thus starting on the other side of the earth
4) We should include the used stamps and postmarks in the envelope we send to the next person; We also should mention our location within our message, so Vel knows where the card has beenHeinrich, King of Germany, Duke of Saxony in Cyclotron's amazing Holy Roman Empire NES

A large card should be big enough for all of our messages, I think. We still don't have a lot of participants yet. But I like your last two suggestions. Anybody who is good at Geography and coordinate this a little? ('cause I'm really bad at that.) I wonder how we could include the used stamps and postmarks ... Will it be allowed by the post office?

a) A final list of all members willing to participate
b) Their locations (plus someone should point out where Vel lives, so I can finally stop hinting that I don´t know that)

As long as there´s the secrecy of the mails in the respective country, there shouldn´t be a problem with it
It´s just a gimmick, but maybe he likes to collect stamps, or he just wants to put it on his wall...Heinrich, King of Germany, Duke of Saxony in Cyclotron's amazing Holy Roman Empire NES

What would also work is that each of us sends a standard size postcard from where he/she lives to Vel or someone who visits Vel. That would be much faster, less expensive and he´d get postcards from all over the world.
Only downside: It´s not one big thing to pin at the wall...Heinrich, King of Germany, Duke of Saxony in Cyclotron's amazing Holy Roman Empire NES
