Maniac has had a PM and sent one to FlameFlash, IIRC, but there has been no agreement for a chatroom talk yet. Would like to soon, since that means we can start war again on our turn, if needs be.

In RL a war isn't suddenly stopped as well.
I propose to send them an ultimatum about keeping talks now, or be assaulted as long as no agreement has been reached.

For ****'s sake people, PEACE is more than willing to talk. It are you who haven't replied anything useful yet in the PEACE diplomatic exchanges thread.
Edit: sorry for the remark, just noticed that I missed your replies, I suppose I missed the 'new post' arrow with one of my infamous 'logout' problems.
Pls try bumping up a thread if no one seems to reply on an important issue.

Care to share why your views have changed?
I realize that you have no legitimaty anymore in this game, but as you just put it you did start the sequence who led to this situation.
Various reports of private messages being sent to various hive members in the hoping that someone will slip up and leak information. You see most of the time when there was an informal message the hive didn't know about it until there was a strange reaction from the cycon or someone commented on it in official diplomancy. Often when I dealt/read official messages, it seemed that the cycon were always dealing with the Hive at a higher level, knowing more information.
Your former faction members had always the possibility to make 'reparations' for those 'mistakes', yet appearantly choose not to do so. Also, you were always in a position to ask them to do so.
The votes didn't matter, they didn't even matter military wise, as we already have carefully laid invasion plans that didn't include the peace in them at all in them.
The colony pod that was destoried was because we were moving out our army in the opposite direction towards the university. The Hive didn't want the cycon sending in airforce towards the homeland through that base while they were engaged at the university.
The council thing was called because the Hive was suffering from inactivity and it was hopped that the roleplay activity would revitilise the Hive. Also the more pacifist players in the faction had been telling the warmongers to be patient for 20 years. That roughly how long ago the university invasion was decided on. Making a big thing about the war was supposed to help make the war mongers happy.

You say views finally changed then. This affair happened MY 2154. Are you saying that at that time the Hive wasn't yet helping PEACE against us, and that you weren't planning to attack PUT and later CyCon?? Buster's info indicated otherwise, meaning our relations with him were screwed anyway, and it didn't matter anymore if our PEACE scam was discovered somewhat later.

Btw, who are you quoting?

No the viewpoint on who was at fault with the peace/cycon issue.
I saw the final nail in the possibility of Cycon Hive having a joint victory was when Honghu privately told me she had leaked information regarding our permi-pact to the Drones so you would go to the university. It absolved me of my sense of duty to keep the cycon from getting backstabbed.
I was really relieved when that happened, and actually never told anyone what the information was leaked. The main problem I saw was that the vast majority of the Hive was willing to backstab you, and my loyalty to my teammates + Buster specifically saying not to tell you when I requested that we tell the cycon to team with the university, was enough to stop me from relaying the information. However, it wasn't strong enough to keep my quiet and silently approach what Honghu did.
AFAIK it was never some official policy to extract info from individual Hive members. As said before, Hive seemed constantly in chaos and there was no one we could send all PMs to and be sure they arrived where they should arrive, so we just send PMs to whoever seemed active to at least get some answer and know where we stand.
Sorry, ironically you were dealing with me most of the time and as I was giving messages to people to send to you as I wanted people to get involved in diplomancy rather than sending them myself.
Quoting? You mean about seeming to know more about what was going on than I did? Actually I have a suspicion now it was to do with the way your diplomats talked so confidently during our diplomancy alot of the time, rather than that much actual knowledge.
Also you made use of all knowledge you had aggressively compared to how it was with the Drones. You see Hive and Drones and a open relationship, and it was obvious to each other that we were both trying to be as fair as possible in our dealings. You assumed that we were keeping information from you (you were right, because we were hiding stuff about the permi-pact) and I think that came through in the way you phrased your diplomancy.
I tried my best to deal with the Cycon the same way I dealt with the Drones, but usually ended up feeling guilty because I had to hold something back, or you had used too many flowerly politican words and felt like you were hiding something. Also you pointed out things about how you couldn't fully trust us etc, while when dealing with the drones it was "here you go", "thanks", "oh yeah i think I need to give you a little more because it might be unfair", "nah don't worry about it we don't mind". Diplomancy with the drones was pretty plain and simple and we got over the manevouring really early on.

I remember me posting this phrase/question, but not on which of your comments.
My guess is that at the time I was still a newbie within CyCon, and trying to get extra info to reach decisions on. My fellow CyConians were rather reclusive about some other questions I asked, and I couldn't find the answers within the forum.
So, if I understand correctly, you swinged viewpoints by the wonderings of a newbie. Funny in a way...

No I my viewpoint changed. When I heard about the deception. It was also commented on about how Maniac started using Peter or unsigned after Tassadar and Googlie ruled that it was legal as long as Maniac kept signing the letters as Maniac.
Your comments were just me answering your question. You see at the time I didn't approve of the call to Planetary Government (felt it was rubbing salt in a wound for no reason), so I was doing my best to avoid posting to that thread. It's just a comment I felt was inaccurate, and I was fairly sure nobody in the Hive would remeber it was inaccurate.

Ok, already answered the Buster 'deception' in HoF (from my point of view off course).
How long ago did you have access to this forum? Were your fellow Hiverians then aware of this? And were decisions/issues transfered to Hive/Drones?

I pretty much told all of my faction when I found out and informed the game mods.
Unfortunately it seemed nobody took me seriously, and I didn't feel like making a point of it. I was hoping that the problem would be fixed in the meantime, but it seems that it never gained the notice of anyone in the position to fix it.
