No need to get your panties all in a bunch Spamski. I voted for real options as well
The only major disagreement I see is the size of map. Standard vs huge. Huge would mean we meet each other later, and it will give everybody more time to develop and less easy for a faction to attack another one. Standard of course means we meet earlier and the games diplomatics starts early.
Be good, and if at first you don't succeed, perhaps failure will be back in fashion soon. -- teh Spamski
So debate over. What else is there to say? Let's vote.
And those not in a faction yet? Those who have their own voices rather than choosing what their faction wants? This is no debate. This is assumption. And we all know what THAT is the mother of.

Let's just get this sorted out, let someone build the world, wrap up this game and get started WITHOUT having to hammer out every point for weeks or months beforehand.

But we have plenty of time alright, we haven't finished the last game yet. Are you suggesting we need to rush to abandon the one we have going? What IS the rush? And debate will only take days - a week, not the months you imagine. The game will not be over in two weeks, let alone less than one.
Let's sit back and think before we act on something we'll be stuck with for a long time. There is no rush, this game will not start for a while, and the world settings are the majority of what we have to do. Also, won't it take some time too to decide on any rules changes we make? How do you plan to rush that?

Like Darsnan said - most of our debates will be influenced by the world we get. Let's not try to build the house before we get the basic foundations down.

Well, in that case we take the "average score" which gives us about 3.8 at the moment - between Standard and Large, but nearly at Large - so get Darsnan to make a map just a little smaller than Large - 2-3 tiles smaller say.

Panties unbunched But next time I make a combi-poll like this one it would be nice if people didn't vote for the "spacers" - I don't know why I didn't realise that there would be at least one

Ok, here's the debate in short.
World size :
Spartans want it small, Morgans want it huge, Gaians and Angels want it medium.
Water :
Spartans want none, Morgan wants loads, Gaians and Angels want it medium.
Erosion :
Morgan wants it flat (boreholes) and the others want is mountainous or rolling.
Rainfall :
Simple preference - makes little difference.

How do you know what each faction wants Jam? There is no debate, there is only this poll. You can`t assume for everyone.

Seriously looks like average everything is the call so far. That seems as fair as anything. (Short of tiny, no water worlds j/k )

Water: middle setting (isn't the middle setting 50-70 though?)
Heavy Rainfall

Native Life coming out the Treehugger's ears!

If Darsnan's making the map, we can have any settings we like.
