  • Btw, we never finished the discussion on how to call our government officials.

For the turnplayer I think about everyone liked "Commander in Chief".
For the more organizational, bureaucratic "Alpha Talent-Second Function" tasks some options suggested were Secretary-General, Major-General, or Second-in-Command IIRC.
For the other members of the Joint Chief of Staffs (the minister-director positions) suggestions were to call them all Chiefs or Generals in their particular fields.

    What to pick?

I thought you asked us to make your teritory more rainy? OK, we shall dry you out, so that there isn`t any more mud.

That would be mindworm larvae. This was not attempt to assasin you, wine is better when you put several larvae in it. It adds great aroma. But ofcourse you have to take them out before drinking or accidents happen.

          • Generals is better than Chiefs, but I prefer Captains, myself.

The C-in-C would be Colonel Maniac, or Colonel Jamski etc, the second-in-command would be Lt.Col. Skanky etc..

Then the people in charge of particular depts. would be Capts.

            • Hmm. We could do that in the beginning, and around MY 2140 when we have half the Planet, we could all rise in rank, like the Colonel wound end up a General, and so on, as we'd have to add ladders to the hierarchy to make things work with bigger and bigger amounts of soldiers.

              • I agree that the top rank initially should be Colonel, and ranks later in the game are open for discussion. And I quite like the position Jam gave me.

Yeah, it sounds like a real soldier actually. Burns is such a military name.

Captain of (War) Production, silly. Or maybe Captain of Supply Operations. "Industry" sounds so... Morganite. Yuck.

Well, I never thought of the Spartans as going in for long titles...

Anyway, given the non-miltiary nature of the position, the Spartans would likely give it a very mundane title, like Quartermaster or similar.
