I wonder if the difference in AI attitude is due to difficulty setting? Being a mere mortal I play on Prince. Only Elizabeth has denounced me in my current Marathon and following that all the others promptly fell out with her rather than me ...

On a more positive note I have seen the AI's exchanging vast flights of missiles and have never seen that before on Prince ... and only one country has been eliminated, steam rolling seems a lot harder to do now. For the AI at least

After I won with Gandhi the warrior, I started a new game, got Aztec, Huge Panganea and figured out how not to get dogpiled. Just don't make a friendship pact with anyone. Then, no one denouces you and you can play the game. Of course, this means the diplomacy doesn't work, but I can still play the game.
