Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
ummmm.....WOW!! Those are awesome snoopy. I like ther trees the way they are. if i could make one suggestions, it would be to make the mountans a bit bigger. good job.
How does it look with the cliffs on sea to ocean?
Are you going to have small trees on rivers?
The shadow on the cactus or dead tree is going the wrong way.
It would be cool to have ice burgs in the tundra coast.
cool. my suggestions would be to make more of a difference between sea and ocean (it's hard to see them apart), and maybe touch up the northen coasts a bit.
If there was one thing I would recommend is more realistic plains graphics. Kind of like the fairy tale mod you were/are working on. Your current ones (and the Firaxis default) kind of look like a dead wasteland... make them look wheat-plains like.
I recommend that you make the north edges more defined too. Don't add the cliff...just clean up the mess. As it is, the north edges of the coast just kinda meeellllltttt into the sea. They should be abruptly ended, though don't add cliffs. It is in the coloring I believe. Don't let the sea or ocean connect to it with that color drag, and put an end to it in the coastal squares or sea or ocean squares.

Try my new mod and tell me what you think. I will be revising it per suggestions. Nine Governments Mod
Yes, the mountains need to be more distinguishable from the hills - something that tells you at the quickest glance which it is.
The main problem I have with dense trees is that you often cannot see whether grassland or tundra are beneath it. More than once I've cleared trees on a game special, only to find tundra. (I've modded my tundra to be more or less worthless)
Also, the water is just way too blue. Even the waters of the caribbean are not that vibrant! Tone it down towards a hint of gray, that should make a difference.
Thinner trees, more distinct mountains, less blinding water.
All in all,

Actually, I think they look very realistic. I grew up where the buffalo roam, and that looks as good as you'll get with computer graphics. Don't be fooled into thinking 11 months of yellow, dried up grass is a wasteland!

My personal preferences, looks great especially the coastal shelf look. But< i would like to see more difference between the sea and ocean tiles, it looks like it would be easy to mix them up right now.
Also, if you get a chance maybe a little more greenish tint to the plains. The plains have always been TOO yellow as if they were in a 4000 year drought, and by that time they would have reverted to desert. Maybe a greenish/yellow.

I grew up and still live where the buffalos roam and outside of June-July it's not that yellow. And even then it's only in spots.
And I still live there too (I literally had fields of the junk around me in all sorts of places before they started building houses everywhere).
If you look at his other fairy tale graphics for plains, I think you'd like it much better (with some modifications of course).

WHAT THE ???? Where did you find his fairy tale graphics? I see how you are, old Trip's holding out on me........
-make both green and brown hills (like the grey AND red mountains in your current terrain graphics)
-I love your trees, don't change em!
-I like the easy blend from sea to ocean (hard to see), in reality, you can't see the difference
-have you done the resources/goody huts/barb camps like you said?
On the fairy tale mod: In the pic Frustrated poet showed, the brown terrain in the lower-righthand corner, RELEASE THAT FILE! NOW! If you recall the discussion on CivFanatics I made about the steppe terrain, that looks EXACTLY like what I wanted. Release it! Now! *cracks out whip*
Love the new mod, if you didn't know .

Well, that explains buffalo migration. May and June were the only months grass was green where I grew up...
