yeah, upgrading longbowmen was a must, especially since the Babylonians with their special unit being a bowman in one game had 197 longbowmen well into the modern era!!
Longbowmen were up against my tanks, mech infantry, modern infantry (highly recommended by the way) and artillery.
wondering whether it'd be worth doing anything with the swordsman/immortal/legionary? Say allowing them to upgrade to marines for instance?!
As far as the lethal bombardment issues, the next changes will be as follows...
Lethal land/sea
Jet fighters
F15s
Stealth fighters
Possibly radar artillery (really not sure on this unit!?!?)
Lethal sea
Bombers (they'll be toned back to their original values of 8,0,3)
Stealth bombers (10,0,3)
Fighters
Lethal land
Battleships
AEGIS cruisers
