Okay, you do that on a Demigod game and then post the save for everyone to see as proof.

When all of the AI civs had completed the Ancient era except for Literature, I was only halfway through Ancient techs. They had scooped up all of the Ancient Great Wonders quickly - except for Great Library because none of them researched Literature.

      bfp9000,
i would pack in 3 berzerks per caravel as the additonal berzerk vs. the slim chance of a MGL sounds much better to me. Also, for your initial invasions, your berzerks will at best be vets.

actually, while i don't have much experience at demi-g, i wouldn't say it's impossible to snag the Lighthouse even at demi. If you check out MS's game on the Sid thread, you'll see that he managed to snag a large number of wonders even on that. Besides, if you race for the philo free-tech bonus, you'd be quite ahead of the others in getting MM.
That siad, I'm still struggling to win consistently with the Scandi's on Emp, so perhaps you could post a few of your saves?

Pack 3 Berserkers per Caravel, 2 Caravels per city under 6, 3 for bigger cities.
If you get a Leader, sacrifice a Berserker. Send him on a pillaging suicide mission, it's part of their training and a Valkyrie will surely find him...
