According to Meier, the new agreement gives Firaxis the right to revisit such classic properties as Colonization, Covert Action, Silent Service, F-15 Strike Eagle, and F-19 Stealth Fighter.

Yes I'd like to see that as well, I enjoyed that game. I was kind of hoping that they would have incorporated some of the trading features in Civ III. I liked setting up my trade routes and managing my economy. I hope they improve the end game though. Those troops from the motherland where so useless and predictable, the game got quite boring by that point.

It looks like you need to fit the Sumerians in somewhere, check out Firaxis' press release (http://www.firaxis.com/company_showr...?releasenum=43).. it says, " ...Sumerian Enkidu Warriors to quickly gain military dominance". The other civs look pretty good. The Dutch should be in IMO, coffeeshops to increase happiness

It will be interesting to see what the addition of eight civs does to editability. (The current max is 32 including Barbarians and with the 24 civs of PTW and eight more you will gat 32+barbarians=33) Hopefully this means that the totally removes the civ cap. But they might just extend it to 64.

Sumerians? Hmh. Middle East's pretty cramped already. Mayans seem to be in, though - that's good.

As for others, I'd be pretty sure that Incas will be in. If my opinion were asked, the remaining five would be Poles, Ethiopians, Mali, Khmer and Javans.

I confess I'm a little bit disappointed. Another expansion? Hm, I was expecting a new game, maybe a sequel to one of Sid's classics, but... another expansion? And they will add more governments. So what? There are plenty of mods created by players which offer new types of governments.

New diplomacy options seem like an interesting thing, but will the AI be able to use them?

Geez, they apparently have lots of bills to pay.

So, are "Eight professionally designed adventures challenge you to recreate the great conquests of history." eight scenarios, or something else?

                            Finally! Natural disasters!

A nice new addition to add some realism.

Now I have the chance to sit back and watch a thousand citizens get burned alive by an erupting volcano. Oh, the madness...

It also mentions editor enhancements. I wonder if that means we can FINALLY set a numerical value for corruption levels... Hopefully, adding units will be a bit more intuitive. Having to do all that civlopedia and unit icons seperately was problematic.

but when there has been naming
we should also know when to stop.
Only by knowing when to stop can we avoid danger." - Lao-zi, the "Dao-de-jing"

...i'm really curious to see what will be all the new feature in the expansion... and if we got to have PTW to play to the next XP!!! It will be strange if the next expansion got a MP that works good.

                              - new resource, new governement, new diplo.... this sound like a new game without new graphics... me I dont care about graphics but if the A.I. is recreated... or improved, with more option in the game... I will be very very very very happy!!

                              See ya everyone!

The only 'Enkidu' I remember from Sumeria was Gilgamesh's hairy friend. Does this mean you can only build one? (And if he dies, he praises you for showing him the pleasures of women and wine?)

And yeah, the Dutch grow some pretty good weed. It should be a wonder!
