    • What I do is better:

I'm inviting her tomorrow (instead of today, like everybody ) to the "support diner" of my soccer team: how romantic it will be, to be surrounded by drinking (and drunk...) soccer players (one of them me, I must admit )...

Glad she just hates Valentine Day...

Of course, I might be missing the "very pleased" part...

        • Lol @ Hydey. You have had much more time for training, and no doubt you have things like wedding anniversaries to build up your brownie points. Being 24 Valentine's day is the biggest point is my brownie point building calendar.

          • My wife was a little bit disappointed when I told her I got bananas for valentine's day. But then when she saw it - a wonderful banana blossom and some ginger flowers - orange and red - she began immediately to say thank you on her special way ...

sucks his breath in over his teeth and decides
that expansion will be faster under his wise
                        leadership
                        - Copernicus abandoned.
                        - Middleton produces settler.

150BC - That idiot Gibbon puts us fourth; the Romans
are first. Gibbon told me of his upcoming work,
which is provisionally entitled "The everlasting
Roman empire", but I told him to delay
publication since I see problems for the
                        Romans on the horizon.

                        75BC - Nippur founded
                        - Invention. If no-one else will the sagacious
doctor will undertake to lead his people from
the squalour they now experience. Democracy
                        chosen.

50BC - Free willy buils Phalanx.

                        25BC - Greeks start Copernicus.

AD1 - Something about a geezer called Jesus.
Romans are really pissed. Btw their cat is still
in our territory under careful surveillance.
                        - DD produces Cara.

                        AD20 - Romans skank invention......they are really
                        headed for a fall.

                        - Fantasia builds settler
                        - Middleton builds horse

                        AD80 - Reign ends

The sagacious Doctor is mercilessly murdered by a foul usurper famous throughout the land for his lack of skill at archery. Alas the upstart wanted the glory of ushering in democracy for himself. Fortunately history will remember the wise doctor as the the catalyst for change, despite his being shackled by the efforts of his barbarian forebears.

Yes, still Xinning. I think it was the fastest way to get to democracy.......in fact I was musing to myself that this may be the best setting to use the size 5, since usually monarchy comes too early for it to be useful.
