          • Same request, different colours...

I have exactly the same request Arthedain had a long time ago (and which Mr Obir solved): could someone please modify the colours on this dragon? I would need two versions:
            - a white dragon
            - a copper dragon

            Thanks!

                Sigh… OK, here you go:

What!? You want 8-bit versions? Geez.

Did anyone ever tell you that the Civ2 palette sucked?

                  • In the very unlikely off chance that you don't have this already, this is a very old series of Star Wars captures. Several of these are ones that I grabbed from X Wing vs TIE Fighter, and these are particularly inferior.

I own X Wing Alliance (awful single player plot but good multi) and that game has a good unit viewer. When I can be arsed, I may install it and make a shameless unit grab from it.

Until then we'll have to put up with the stop gap unit field below:

X Wing Alliance has an analogue unit viewer, and they have pretty much every single unit ever used in the Lawrence Holland space flight sim series. I need to earn some more money and buy a new video card and install it and then install the game and boot it up and therefore capture some screenshots from the game of various naked TIE Fighters posing on desirable angles.

Using the same model, it should be relativley easy to produce the Darth Vader Tie Fighter as well as a Tie Bomber.
Absolutely... as well as a TIE Advanced (shielded fighter based on Vader's TIE), TIE Interceptor, Cygnus Assault Gunboat, Thrawn Missile Gunboat, and various Star Destroyers with which to pummel the everloving crap out of the hippy chainsmoking paintywaisted Rebel scum.

If anyone out there thinks this is a project worth our time please let me know. I think there's a huge demand for Star Wars units out there thats just waiting to be satisfied.

And those SW units bring back fond memories of the good old days in CIV2!

                        • Units needed...

I found most of the units I need for my medieval-fantasy scenario(see the Pomarj thread), or at least the basis for them, but there are still afew where I desperately need your help!

BTW: all the units I found are based on work from Curtsibling, Fairline or Favoured Flight, so I would really prefer unit in that style so that they all go well together.

                          Here they are:
                          1) I need a Warrior in chain mail wielding a two-handed sword! I didn't even find a bad looking one, I never saw a 2-handed sword unit actually!

                          2) I need a good"combat engineer": I would like a "engineer" unit that looks as if it could fight too (as it will have decent fighting stats)

                          3) a horn (like the one used to bring down the walls of Jericho! ) (it was made by a demon, if this can inspire you...)

                          4) 3 units from an evil, powerful tribe from ancient times: a wizard/cleric, a warrior and a noble (warrior too); I imagine them rather dark!

                          5) and last, for those familiar with the dragonlance series, a Draconian; and for those not so familiar: they are humanoid created through corruption of dragon eggs, so they are humanoid with a kind of "dragon look", and with wings which allow them to glide (parachute anyone?? )
                          Ankh-Morpork, we have an orangutan...

                            • Say Fairline, I was wondering if I could get your advice on shading and texturing for a scenarion project I'm working on. Its an alternate history scenario where WW1 and WW2 are one massive war that takes place in an alternate universe.

Now I need your help making a tank unit that is essentially a giant iron tank on four giant armored wagon wheels. I can't seem to get the shading for the curved parts right, especially the roof, do you have any advice on figuring how much shading to add to curved surfaces? Maybe is there a tutorial you can refer me to for shading curved surfaces?

Here's one unit that I have completed already, its a second generation tank, specifically its a Qing Dynasty Tortust Tank which is meant as a replacement for very early tank designs such as the one I'm asking about.
