Nope, I would not make a blanket statement against anybody's beliefs.

I just feel scorn for those zealous fundy types who attack something like RPG hobbies,
when we have drugs, porn and a myriad other real problems out there.

I wish no offense to any honest religious folk, only the people who use religion as a tool to control.

    No offense taken mate!

But i am afraid you didn't quite get me.I did not feel your words were unjust for the religions, but rather for the common clergy.Anyway.....

    • Mr Catfish these two dudes are your creation?

I mean, were they made 100% from scratch, or they were "stolen" from a game?

      Splendid work!

By the way Curt i am tired of throwing superlatives a t you so you can take my reaction of "excellent" as granted when you post your work.

        They're from photographs of miniatures.

        • Keep up Pericles, this bloke is the maestro of conversions and photo-reductions We were having a discussion about it before this thread wandered off into woolly-back and God-bothering territory.

          Keep 'em coming, Catfish

Anyway, I've done some more 24-bit fantasy units for ToT. Some of these took me a while, with some heavy retouching required. I lost 18 units (mostly ancients) with a corrupt file a while ago and this took some of the steam out of my Civ2 graphic making.

1st row: 5 Viking/barbarian types, sorceress, elf, ranger, female (who'd know) druid.
2nd row: 2 ogres, mummy, shambling mound, mind flayer (illithid), skeleton, giant, orc with polearm, swordsman.
3rd row: mummy (yeah, another one), female, dragon, owlbear, wizard, witch with broom (does she need a hat?), wizard (the original miniature was of Gandalf, but this looks more like Moses parting the Red Sea), 2 dwarves.
4th row: wraith, warrior, wizard (Saruman), ranger, elf (Legolas), berserker/warrior, she-demon/succubus, rogue, warrior/ranger.
              Download bmp

...and of course, my obligatory in-game shot:

Edit: Changed a few pixels here and there (nobody will notice), and desaturated the succubus' skin a tad.

                • A few of these would look nice in Bitterfrost ToT!

But they are different from my unit stlye.

(actually my units would look pants in comparison)

                  • Thanks, Curt. You're free to use and/or modify any of the stuff I've released. I'd try to stick to one style for the units, though. A consistent graphical style looks more professional.

                              • Anybody willing to provide a witch (Esme Weatherwax actually)? Not a flying one (I arlready use 1), but standing, with a "dress", pointy hat, all in black, maybe holding a broom? It's one of the last unit I need for my scen, which is nearly finished.

And as I am not really efficient with the palette work (talk about an euphemism...), could someone "recolour" the lady's dress in the attached picture in pink instead of white?
