Bizzarrely the Beeb have cast a proper actor as the new Dr Who in Christopher Ecclestone. Should be interesting to watch...

Tom Baker? Yup, that would be the Doctor that I know. One of the scenes that's still stuck in my head is after the Tardis appears at some 1980's airport totally in plain sight. So what does the good doctor* do? Well, get a newspaper to check the cricket scores of course!

    So delightfully British and eccentric.

Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

      • @Curt: I'm really sorry to interrupt this nostalgia about the Good Doctor (I, myself, enjoyed watching that show from Spokane PBS, coming via cable from down in the Northwest US), but are you almost done my cities? I don't mean to push, but there is one final thing (for this scen, anyway) I need to ask you for help in. No pressure of course, I was just worried you might have forgotten again. Just drop a post if you can.

                • USSR, of course, had a tendency towards demolishing Onion Domes. If you are looking for traditional Russian architecture, perhaps you should emphasize the fortress aspect of the kremlins?

                  • @Curt: There's actually one more favor I'd like to ask you if you don't mind, as I've heard from a reliable source you're the best at it. I need some WW2 Japanese people (for a people.bmp), actually. I just need the Japanese as, as I'm sure you know, my scenario is meant to be played from the Japanese point of view. If you could do this for me, I'd be most appreciative. Thanks!
