    • Don't worry Curt, it's me he's slagging off, as usual, rather than the new guy

Pericles: Blame Osprey for the spelling mistake: it clearly states 'peltastos' rather than 'peltastis' on the caption for the drawing of the bloke with the javelin.

      St. Leo: England sucks more.

      • You guys should be on a late night talk show - funny stuff.

St. Leo: Well, until I deleted it at any rate. Erm, dunno why.

You have made peace with the evil Wheredehekowi tribe-we demand you tell us if they are a tribe that is playing this scenario.
We also agree not to crush you, if you teach us the tech of warp drive and mental telepathy and give 10 trinkets

Why thank you Pericles, how very charactristic of you to be so unqualified in your praise

I had this bizarre dream that yesterday we were trading insults in this very thread. Must have imagined it - I know, the very thought is ridiculous

You can use my work for a Star Wars scenario

                  • Please be my guest beingofone. If I can find 'em, I drew some Phillistines and the like for use with Kull's masterful scenarios; I'll post them if I haven't lost them.

Ffaerllyn - love it That would be pronounced more like 'fireclin' Dave, but never mind

                        • Thanks - these may be of some use with your scenario: an Israelite and a couple of Philistines. I seem to have lost the Assyrians, Hittites and Egyptians I made to use with Kull's scenarios.

                            • Cool units Fairline. I will add them to the scenario.
Question for you- Were the Phoenician units similar to the Carthaginians enough to use them? The date is 1000 BC.
Also at this time period, the military did not have sophisticated siege equipment. They had rams and trained spear, archer and slinger units with huge dome shaped shields. I blended together the infantry into 1 " siege unit". Could I trouble you to make a unit to fit the bill?

                              • Found this on another CD (I'll find them all sooner or later ). It's a generic bronze-age middle-eastern warrior which I guess would do for the poorly-armed general Israelite troops and a few Egyptians, the last being a guard unit.

As for the Carthaginian troops I drew, they are dressed in Hellenistic armour dating from 800 years after your scenario so they aren't really appropriate. I'm sure I could knock something up though.

I'll see if DBA online has some source material to copy siege units for the period from.
