This is a little off-topic, but this picture clearly illustrates just how small the Japanese tankettes were.
From left to right, the picture shows a British Bren Carrier, a Japanese Type 97 Tankette and an American White Scout Car.
(All three vehicles were captured [re-captured in the case of the carrier and scout car] by the Australians when they occupied Rabaul at the end of the war)
