I actually didn't mind the detail; it was the contrast/smoothness that bothered me.

I know you get bored with constant kudos, fairline.
But work of this calibre attracts praise, mate!

I will be the pragmatist, and say that I think the look of the tanks was great to start with,
and your applied advice from catfish can only improve the situation.

At the end of the day, you are the only one entitled to be the final judge of your work.

      • Thanks, fairline!

I should mention that these mega-soviet units have enabled me to begin work on a project I have been planning for a while...

        Soviet Steel v2.0!

I will be working this and a modern scenario over the holidays!

When my University work eases off!

        Cheers!

        • Fairline: Actually I was thinking of the planned E-50, E-75, and E-100, but I made a few mockups the other day.

          Good Lord halftracks everywhere!

It's really the best FW 190 I've ever seen in Civ 2: congratulations!

I'm currently working on it: I'm fixing some details I didn't like. I hope to give it to you as a christmas gift

I'm following a picture scheme for the camouflage, but if you could give me some selected pictures I can make the work closer to your needs

                            • Oh!! I just did one (based on yours) before reading this post

But I' am very thankful for your offer, so I won't spoil your work. I won't post mine. I'll wait for the official version of it

Here's the best reference pic I've found:

                              • For those who don't know how is looking the new graphic update of my scenario...some air units:

                                OLD - NEW

I re-sized the nemo's Polikarpov, corrected some details and added extra texture.

The new Messerschmitt Bf-109 is from Harry Tuttle, tweaked a bit by jim panse and re-coloured by me.

Some extra-detail added at my Tupolev SB-2. texture revised
