    • Football is only football.

There is no soccer, except in the US.

      • @El Awrence: Well said!

That game should be called 'American Rugby', not football...

Don't the commonwealth states have Rugby teams as well? The new zealand national team i hear is very good.

          How do they call it?

          Soccer or football?

          • Er......rugby!

If you want the full name it's rugby football - there are even two flavours: Union and League. BTW, right now it's the one sport that England is the best in the world at (rugby union, that is; we'll gloss over League as an Aussie might be reading this!)

As for American 'football', it's origins lie in some Yank Ivy Leaguers who were studying at either Oxford or Cambridge in the last Century and took their version of rugby to the States. They seem to have left in the violence and removed the skill from the game though. And what are those nancy motorcycle helmets all about?

                • That is one sport i'd like to try my hand at.

Understandably in greece there are few(none to be more precise) chances for someone to play rugby.

Basketball is the game down here.

It's obvious to me that only the first icon will be necessary
