To fully eradicate the memory of Assyrian occupation, the Phoenician cities of ikni and Tartous have been renamed Byblos and Tyre. Long may they grow and prosper!

            • There may be a problem with the save: foreign units moved before my turn started. Will consult with the nation involved...

              • A mixed report from Anatolia. A unit of trusted Horsemen perished with the braying of donkeys in their ears. How ignoble! The viziers feel certain that marauding Assyrians will not trouble the Hatte much longer.

This year no Assyrian city decided to join the Babylonian empire But in swimming pool of Ur our charioteers are training riding in rivers. Unfortunately the vehicles are rusting...

The Tigris' squad wanted to visit Arraphka. One Assyrian unit was trampled. The esteemed Zedanu is suggested not to allow his units to walk freely in the cities.

                      • A bit OT, but I sure hope none of you guys live (or have family) down in the path of Hurricane Katrina. I was on a business trip to Biloxi just a few months ago, and stayed at one of those huge floating casinos. Television barely does justice to the size of those things - the force required to throw them around like toys is almost beyond comprehension.

                          The will of our enemy?

I congratulate the ruler of Babylon on an expertly played game of diplomacy and negotiation. There is no doubt that your cunning "alliance" has benefited Babylon on many levels and resulted in its great rise to power. Assyria recognizes Babylon as the new world power and thus recognizes its own impending defeat.

Therefore I inquire, what will be the extent of your assault? Would Babylon (and thus the "alliance") be willing to negotiate peace? Or shall we continue until Assyria is no more? Understand that I am willing to follow either course, but my people are smothered in war and beg for peace.

Discuss it with your disciples if you must, and Assyria will wait for word of any terms for peaceful surrender.
                          Dear neighbour,

I am sure you can perceive our "cunning alliance" didn't arise because of a Babylonian will but because of the Didanu's malicious attack.
Concerning the power, yes, Babylonian economists welcome the fact that our total production increased from a third of the Assyrian total production to a half.

We are greeting that Assyria is prepared to a surrender. But the alliance offered a peace conditions once and they weren't accepted. Later Babylon warned that our peace conditions grew each turn and our will for peace wouldn't last forever, but still without an answer from Assyria.
Now Babylonian generals believe we are strong enough to capture all the cities up to Nineveh (pressuming Egypt will continue its attack and other Kings will open new fronts too), Babylonian businessmen are looking forward to get new markets, our foreign creditors expect Babylon will pay by gold (which we don't have enough for all the creditors) or by land, farmers and cities and Assyrian people in Hourigalzur and Zibbar say that they welcome liberation from Nineveh's tyranny...

So expect the peace conditions will be debated within the alliance but Babylon will ask they are very hard (and one condition will be that Didanu must be extradited to Babylon alive or dead ).

                          • The "Vicious attack" by Didanu has been much debated and is a mute point. If the will of Babylon....... I mean " the Alliance" is to carry thier rant to the its ultimate end Then Assyria will meet it, and If we go it will not be quietly.

Be Warned nations of the alliance, an apetite for Power is never satisfied, only intensified.

Does King Zedanu hereby request an extension of his turn while the alliance debates the message from Assyria?
