President Ioannes Declares Martial Law!
Russian Invasion Massacres CEU Parliament

The recent blitzkrieg upon the CEU capital Berlin has shocked the world. During the mayhem, parliament was in a locked doors session, and were only told of the Russian advance by the artillery shells that obliterated the building itself, killing and burrying all the members of parliament from all the CEU nations. As luck would have it, President Ioannes was visiting London at the time. Hearing the grievious news, and the masacre of the legislative branch, he immediatly declared martial law to take the necissary action of retaliating against the Russians. In an impromtue speach, he said, 'sure, we lost the legislative branch, but we still have the executive and the judicial, and two out of three ain't bad.' Also, he said, 'The Ruse shall pay dearly for her crimes.'

Ioannes was last seen boarding an airship to France, where he is said to begin the mobilization of the CEU forces.

Italy is outraged by this blatant sneak attack on the German Empire!
As well as the attack on the CEU parliament.

President Henriko himself was visiting that very hall earlier this week, but was apparently lucky enough to get out in time for the attack.

However the Mediterenean league would like to declare themselves neutral in this conflict and will not attack anyone unless attacked first!

Meanwhile election time draws near, however the Ruling Social-Liberal party lead by the former king Henriko Lohmandero is expected to win this election as well by a landslide (During the last election Henriko's party got 75% of the votes!)...

Britain Shocked an Appaled at Russian actions!!!!

Word of the Russian attack and subsequent capture of Berlin found Mr Smith and President Ioannes in a conferance in London discussing the new trade initives between the two nations. Mr Smith was said to be "shocked and appaled" by this unprovoked sneak attack and immediately offered his support to his friend Ioannes.

Speaking outside of 10 Downing Street, while Ioannes was taking the nearest Airship back to france, Mr Smith launched a stinging attack on the russian dictator. He commented that The Royal Navy would sally forth from their ports and destory the russian navy. He then went on to say that they would then bombard and destroy all of russia coastal towns.

The HMS Empire, which was steaming to the med, has now performed an about turn and will soon be joining the 8 battleships steaming towards the baltic sea. Mr Smith is confident that this is just a set back and the german counter attack will sweep the floor with the enemy and take the counter attack deep into russia.

Britain also asks permission from the Turkish nation for unrestricted access through the Bosperous for the Royal Navy. Mr Smith did stress that this permission wasnt necessary, britain will be using this entrance anyway but it would be seen as a good omen if permission was granted.

Britain and Germany will make Russia pay, and let no nation stand in their way.

As a result of the Russian agression against our German allies, Spain is now in a state of war with Russia. The Spanish Government confidently predicts that Moscow will be under Spanish control within six months

Turkey denies any access to the Strait of Dardenelles to any vessel that will be used in the act of war.

The Royal Navy would like to point out that it already has a destroyer in the black sea and thus can say that if turkey blockades the strait they are proving themselves an enemy of britain and germany because there are no russian ships in the black sea!!! Thay are all in the Med!! mostly near malta and sicily.

So please dont be stupid and aid the enemy of democracy, Russia, let royal navy ships pass through, after all if the russian navy is sunk its betetr for turkey.

Jugoslavia reaffirms the Mediterranean League's neutrality in this disasterous conflict. Our meager army has been put on alert at our border posts for any suspicious troop concentrations. We, being the only nation bordering any of the warring nations, would like to declare Jugoslavian land and airspace to be offlimits to men and machines of the CEU and Russia. Detatchment of naval vessels steaming past Athens on their way to the Bosperous to join the Turkish fleet.

Our condolences go out to those CEU Parliamentaries that were killed or injured during the recent hostilities.

Turkey also reasserts its neutrality in this war. Our waters and land are to be neutral, meaning that will not be used in acts of war.
Turkey also mobilizes her armed forces to protect our neutral lands and waters from aggression...

Mr Smith would like to ask Turkey to define the specific acts of war which cannot be used in turkish waters. Ie, can we just go through but not attack each other until we are in say the black sea. Or will driving ships through your waters be considered an act of war against the turkish people? I need details please.

Also Britain would like to know what the esteemed turkish people would do to anyone who violated the specific terms which i am sure will be coming.

Will since my battleship will be blocking the strait you would have to destroy that resulting in an act of war on Turkey. Using my waters to go create an act of war is not allowed. IE u can't go through to attack Russia.

Berlin Retaken!
Russian Main Offensive Disintigrated!
Roose in Prussia Still Loose!

The Russians, evidently partying from their celebrations in taking Berlin, were rudly awakened by the sound of artillery shells. Horrid Retaliation raised her fist and scattered the main Russian offensive to the wind. Berlin, though only in the hands of the Roose for a week, suffered greatly. Buildings were destroyed, streets and rails were uproated in the terror that will be forever known as the Berlin Captivity. As CEU forces marched through the liberated city, all came out and celebrated. Ioannes gave a heart breaking speach on the rubbled steps of the parliament building. 'Russia must be brought to reckoning. We shall do so, but we will not be the same monsters. We shall offer peace when the time comes.'

Since the lines been severly damaged to Prussia, little could be done to help the two remaining cities from the Russian foe. But the army of the CEU marched on. In an amazing flanking maneauver, CEU forces swept around the Russian front line and took Warsaw from the rear. Partisan activity was heavy, but CEU forces pushed on deep into the heart of Russia, taking and setting up base in the cities of Mogilev and Vitebsk. No cities in between offered any resistance, so they were left alone, lest in doing so, the citizens rise up against the invading forces. 'No,' general Jaques said, 'we will not wage such a war. Those cities are defenseless, and when all is said and done, will be handed over to the victor'. At sea too, the CEU won out, sinking a destroyer, an armored cruiser, and a Battleship.

The CEU however, is not interested in a prolonged war, and thus offer this peace:

In exchange for peace, Russia will:
Return Tannenburg and disband the Prussian Invassion force,
Hand over all cities between Warsaw and Vitebsk (Brest-Litovsk, Bobruisk, Minsk, Vilna) and will disband the defenders between Poznana and Warsaw
Shall cede Sweden, Finland and the Baltic cities of Reval and Riga to England.

Counter offers will be given ear.

It must be noted, however, that it is highly advised to accept the treaty as is. If a reasonable conclussion is not reach, the war will continue, and I will make greater demands. So please, be easy on yourself!

Mr Smith urges the Russian Dictator to accept these very generous proposals offered by My German Colleague. He commented that the Russian attack had obviously been smashed and the Counter attack was in force.

He also said that intelligence reports (ie the unit count at the beggining ) showed that this russian attack was almost a one off, with no forces in reserve, Germany is being very generous with these offers and i can assure you that if you do not accept these terms now or in the near future i can gladly see the complete liberation of the Russian State.

What Mr.Smith clearly does not see is the literally thousands of russian patriots who will be willing to sacriifice their lives in welcoming german invasion forces. Key points has been reinforced all over Russia, and any city invaded by german forces will meet tough civilian resistance, draining gerrman economy in a long enduring war effort. Obviously this is not in germany's interest, since the only party to profit from this will be the neutral mediterrenean aliiance. From this standpoint, Russia is willing to continue the war effort. The german proposal is clearly unacceptable as it is, but will be considered, however. The russian dictator is expected to make a counterproposal on the following turn.
