Yes Soundwave people that abandon their alliances in this game tend to come "unstuck", France fell in 3 turns i think and only 6 turns after renegading on their alliances. Spain was neutral but is now part of the democratic alliance which is ok because they didnt renegade on any alliances they had previously.
Also he who requires peace should prepare for war

Yes bo did inherit the alliance and if he had stayed in the alliance then me and germany wouldnt have attacked him, well not that soon because while a fight with france, italy and turkey would probably be winnable by britain and germany (and maybe russia?) it just wouldnt be worth it. So france saying it was neutral was a pretty silly suggestion and he was rightly punnished by the democratic alliance.

Actually I'd say he was punished by a coalition of the democratic alliance and the med. league
And you have to admit Grothgar that the democratic alliance is tied together very loosely, both Russian and Germany are constantly plotting against eachother (or so it seems anyway) and I believe Italy (a member of the supposed opposite alliance block) has warmer relations with germany than Spain or Russia does (members of the actual democratic alliance).
However this is all speculation obviusly.
In any event one should be aware that the official alliances and the unofficial alliances and understandings differ in many ways...
"Emperor Henriko is speculating", a russian parliament spokesman commented to italian allegations aired earlier today. "Relations has never been warmer between the members of the democratic alliance, and italian attempts to sow the seeds of distrust within the alliance will not, I repeat, not be successful"
In fact russian diplomats are preparing an agreement that are to reopen peaceful trade between Russia and Germany, hopefully this agreement will help strengthen the peaceful bonds between these two nations in the future.

can some list the players and their e-mails please!
There's a list of players halfway up this page, and a list of emails on the first page.
In general, you'll find that the order of play and a list of emails is on the first page of every PBEM thread.

Festive preparations are begining all over the Union for tomorrow's big celebration, soon to be labled, We Love the President and All Round Good Guy Ioannes I Day part one. This is to be a week long celebration. Now, had this reporter actually remembered to do his research, he might have found it was the something or other anual celebration of th forming of the CUE, or not, but, having sampled the wine and beer to be had, this reporter doesn't really care. Vivi Le Democrace!
Ships Sent Wrong Way
Due to the festive spirit, during the fourth day into the celebration, all navy officers were erroneously allowed to party during duty. The multi national navy coalition was soon sent arry as one drunken officer, a national foreigner from China, Wong Way, ordered half the navy to make their way to America to shoot any yatchs that leave Philedelphia Harbor. The captains on board were too busy playing strip Balderdash to really pay enough attention to the order, and so they departed. After the celebration had neared its end, the error was discovered and all officers involved in th mix up were punished, Way was exiled to Turkey to serve in the Ottoman navy, but was rejected there as well. So he decided to go to America to convince them the necessity of violently preventing yatchs from sailing out of Philedelphia harbor.
New Ottomanical Regime Asked To Set Up Nuetral Zone
President Ioannes I went to Jerusalem to speak with new Sultun Syound Wav concerning setting up a nuetral territory on the Thracian-Romanian border. While talks with the previous sultan were unsuccesful, the new sultan elect will hopefully conceed. The request is to demilaterize the region between Stara Zagora, Varna, and Andrianople. Doing so, Ioannes says, will show the Syound's willingness for peace.
French Territory Ripe for the Taking
The French government being in total disarray, the North African possesions are ripe for the taking. Rumors have it that the Ottoman is looking at Tunis and other future north African metropoles.
