Rebel Generals Captured

The Army of the Ohio has taken Nashville, Tennessee. It's commander, General U. S. Grant, accepted the surrender of the Confederate garrison on June 23, 1862. Advance units of the Army of the Ohio have reached positions 30 miles north of Decatur, Alabama. Two generals of the Confederate Army were captured by Federal forces south of Nashville.
