That's a shame. Did he start off with the cpu-fix, or the standard exe?

I'm not sure 100% sure. Check out the development thread. I think Boco (post #3) may answer our question.

Thanks, good to see someone else dusting off civ2!
@ McM - looks like he didn't use the cpu fix, so I won't be using his exe....

Just wanted to thank you for the Brown Man's Burden units Gareth. I have been feeling a wee bit poorly for the past few days so I have been taking it easy. This morning I started a game of BMB to cheer myself up and I have been playing almost all day (with a few interruptions for eating, toilet breaks etc...).
Decided to play as the Abyssinians and I have managed to kick the Italians, French and Germans out of East Africa and even pinched Zanzibar after the Germans kindly killed its Barbarian garrison All highly improbable but great fun! Your supurb units made this feel like a brand new game. KudosLast edited by McMonkey; October 20, 2009, 04:27.

I'm really keen to play this scenario for the first time. Can anyone help solve this problem please?

I have a problem with the unit graphics showing up. I have run the batch file (both options) and tried it at every zoom level but no units show up except for the Dervish Raiders. I can see the units health bars but even when I end the first turn these ghostly bars move around on their own

Originally posted by Elys @ CFCI have removed the "reduce cpu usage" options because the game can take a lot of time to build a new map when using it.
However If you require this feature just use the civ2.exe made by Tim. Then select your game version in [forced] mode in the loader options because Autodetect will report a bad civ2.exe since it's not the same.Last edited by Catfish; October 17, 2009, 18:34.

Thanks Gareth. That was part of my problem. Adding the '1s' to column G made most units appear. However it has highlighted another issue. Not all of the units are in the right slots as I still have some invisible ones (for example all the artillery seem to be out of place). This means that either the Units.bmp is compiled wrong or that I am playing from the wrong rules file (IE version). I have my version marked as v4 Beta. Is that the correct one?
I will read through the treads again (this one and the one in the link) to try and sort it out myself if I have made a mistake. Is there a difference in unit order between the ToT conversion and the v4 Beta?
EDIT: Looking through the thread it appears v4 Beta was the only ToT version released so I don't think I have the wrong version. Do I just need to rearrange the units myself?Last edited by McMonkey; October 17, 2009, 10:56.

You are not alone McM. I have exactly the same issue.
By the way, your new art is magnificent Gareth.
Edit: Ahh I see why, the most recent beta was posted on page 3 of the thread.Last edited by EZRhino; October 18, 2009, 17:34.Sea Kings TOT

Thanks EZ. I did look through the thread but somehow I missed the updated Beta. Allard even says some of the units have moved slots If only you had posted before I rearranged the units gif manually
Any news on your Bronze Age scenario? It sounded like it had got to the fine tuning stage last time you posted.

There is a ToT conversion of Brown Man's Burden with a graphics update available on my site: http://www.tecumseh.150m.com/Convers...nversions.html

[Edit: Just noticed this:
You use Elys' loader in conjunction with Timbatron's Civ2.exe:
