Why would you want to use 8-bit MGE conversions of units which I drew in 15-bit for a ToT scenario?

They looks great. Especially the regimental flags for the Elite troops.
No problem. I'll make the rest when the W. theatre scenario is ready to test

I know, the scenario is much too easy and not a really challenge. For example, everything behind Richmond is easy to conquer.
Are you planning to make it tougher as a result of this beta test? You really need to ditch a lot of the union reinforcements and beef up the CSA, which shouldn't be hard to do should it? Simply upping the CSA stats, putting more CSA units in towns at the outset and making the fortified garrison a super-unit would change this scenario completely. I've already made these changes to my own copy and it is a better challenge.

I´ve changed many things (like higher stats for the AI, more event created units, different campaigns starting when conquered strategic cities, etc...) also I´ve reduced the available wonders and improvements (now only buildable for the player). The tech tree is also reduced a little bit.
Are these changes in this current playtest version or a new one?

At the beginning I was thinking about using two maps for representing boths Theaters (Western and Eastern). Due to much work (I have to make four scenarios) I decided to cut of the map from McMonkey a little bit. I´ve now only one map with both Theaters included.

For me it makes more sense to use one map. Playing with the Union means to attack on both fronts, playing with the Rebels means defending on the Mississippi and the Eastern coast. Railroads are not allowed but Train Stations (Airports) are buildable to simulate the train transports of several troops.

I´ve cut off Southern Florida to avoid using Warships and Frigates travelling on the Mississippi River. For the Mississippi you get Riverclads spawned by events, which can be also only used on the rivers.

The Native units were for the Western Theater, but I don´t need them anymore. It doesn´t make a sense, because native Indians didn´t play a main or strategic role during the Civil War.

Here you can see how the map looks like.
Looking forward to the W campaign. It's a real opportunity to make a decent simulation of the Union Mississipi (enough 's'-es? Too many 's'-es? Never sure) campaign; Make sure Vicksburg is a tough nut to crack!

Yes, all playtests showed that the scenario is too easy to win.
One major mistake I did was giving the AI and player the same
unit stats. Unfortunatelly the AI is very stupid and I didn´t
          consider that.

No, most of these changes are only in my own playtest version which isn´t
really ready for uploading until now.

The more I working on the scenario the more I´m not very happy using
          two different maps.
For example: The Atlanta campaign and the resulting March to the sea
up to North Carolina covers both maps. The Atlanta campaign
ends in Atlanta when playing the Western Theater, the March to
the sea is only available by playing the Eastern Theater. A matter
          which I don´t like.

Currently this is the Western map which I used until now.

There is only one "p" missing in the Mississippi

            • Good to hear your making it trickier Sebastian

I see what you're saying about the march to the sea. A 2-map scenario is out of the question I suppose?

                • Yes, I´m now using one map which includes both theaters. I think it makes more sense and the scenario more difficult as I can now create more campaign together.

                  Currently I´m placing all cities.

                        • During my playtests with the Confederacy I´ve made some good pictures from the battlefields.
