Just let them fly really close to stars, for heavens sake. The squares are at a very high scale, considering the amount of space on your map.

Hey, you could just download it from this site (under modpacks). You should download it anyway, it's great.

Alex, here's one hell of a good idea.

You could give all units except units that obviously shouldn't the paratroop ability, then change the name of paratroop to "Hyperspeed" then you could surround each system with impassable, and that would be an awesome scenario.

PS, i can help; i am working on 3 other scenarios, but they are on hold.

It would be a good idea if the AI knew every way to use paratroopers, they just use them to conquer undefended cities, wouldnt work in single player.

Actually I havent worked on it for a week
I've been working on the map, it needs to be done before i do anything else, unit and terrain graphics are allready done, of course they can still be changed. If you want I can send you the gifs and the incomplete map (around 50% done), if you could help with the map.

              I have an idea:
You can name a terrian "hyperspace" then change its movement allowence to zero.
Ships moving on it would go real fast(hyperspeed).

If you have stars produce nothing, why have more than one star terrian?

Stars are mighty useful stuff. They provide solar power, emit "solar wind", and might be used as fuel by highly advanced spacecraft(refer to "Rama" by Arthur C. Clarke).

What i'm saying is: why have the same terrain take up four slots when the only diffrence between them is the color.

The different stars have different resources, what resources they will have is yet to be decided, no food of course =]
That hyperspace idea is a good idea, but it wont work with the way the current map works, but completing that map is so time consuming i sometimes think of other ways, hehe, you never know

                      Oh.

Someone else can use the hyperspace(It could also be called wormhole)if they want to.

I like your idea for space terrian not being ocean. In all the other internet space scenarios cities are 1 square island cities. One square island cities have a lot of disatvantages!

Indeed, the AI doesnt build new cities in such places (1 square islands), I know cause I once tried making a scenario like that.

                          1. MOO Jr. also had all-land terrain.
                          2. The AI will rarely build anything even on two square islands(they do sometimes).

Also, ground units loose there importance. A ground unit cannot attack without having "can attack from ship". If you want to take a city you need 3 units. A ground unit for taking the city, a transport unit for holding the ground unit, and a spaceship to get rid of the defence.

Just so you know Ryan, that idea was used a long time ago by sci-fi scenario blokey Paul Heron for a wormhole.

                                Well, then call it hyperspace.

I think Microsoft copied Macintosh's idea for a trash can, but they called it Recycle Bin.
