I have not got round to uploading them to SL yet, not been feeling very motivated recently due to a bad cold

If you do a fixed version of Mamelukes let me know and I will add it to SL when I get the time.

Also, do you know where I can dl Komnenai? I have a copy but cannot remember where from. My copy has been modified but I would like to post the original and the mod!

there was a silly mistake in the original Komnenai... I should be ashamed of it. I think I corrected it and posted it again, but I may be wrong. What modified version are You talking about? The thing I am talking about was not very visible early in the game...
Anyway, I discovered another bug some months ago. I'll have to check if I fixed it. I'll post Komnenai tomorrow.

I meant my own mod, mainly graphics. I did not want to post a scenario I had modified without also posting it in its original form.

Not at the time of release but after subsequent upgrades all current versions are MGE

So, how's the patching and canonization of the Komnenai scenario progressing? I am quite eager to play it again, both for the mind-bending difficulty and the equally mind-bending attention to historical detail.

Here is a screen shot of the modified terrain and cities. Just going to have a go at the icons and units and I will be ready to build a page at SL.

I had not realised this scenario was for FW. The first time I played it I must have been using a copy as the events worked. This time some of them do not. I am sure that when I played before there was some kind event triggered by the Emperor's death at Manzikert.

I have ordered a new copy of FW from E-bay as I gave my old copy to a friend. I have uploaded the modified scenario anyway as people with Fantastic Worlds can play. I wonder if there it a way to make it MGE compatible?

Also, is Fading Lights for MGE or FW?

The page is not finished yet and I may change some of the units later on but it should be good enough to play already. Nice one Heresson

Nice job! And yes, there was an event at the Emperor's defeat (not death, the Greeks themselves would take care of that, as you undoubtedly recall), but what the hell, the Turkish onslaught is terrifying/overbearing enough as it is.

Jamestout made the excellent cities which really stand out against the modified terrain. I was quite pleased with the effects you can get by adding some tiny buildings and trees to the road tiles. The little ships were from the original and I think they contrast really well with the sea.

I am trying to buy a copy of FW on E-Bay so that I can have another game of this fantastic scenario.

Hahah, good one, the medieval turkish version of our favourite online store I also suggest checking out E-mir.

Otherwise, I have a nagging suspicion that the game is slightly too easy if you don't swap the events with events1, which also contain the "Disaster of Manzikert" sequence. I discovered that after I realized the Turks hadn't captured Iconion by 1078 and that a well-equiped military expedition would end in me heavily fortifying the city, thus easing Turkish pressure considerably 'til the end of the game, which is surely not what Herreson intended.

EDIT: the current events are definitely ones for the first half of the 12th century, swapping them manually is necessary for a wholesome game.

Why forget E-Bay? I have just got FW for £2.50 including postage! WTF would I want to pay $12.79?
