This may be a stupid question but what does the role of moderator entail?
I am holding my vote until I have heard from all the nominees (i.e. do they want the job).

I hope the other two are up for it as well, so there will be a democratic voting.

The moderator job consists of:

1) Essential thread maintainence.

2) Settling disputes. (rare things on C2SL)

3) Answering poster questions.

4) Acting as a link between posters and admin.

5) Being a regular (at best daily) visitor to Poly CIV2 forum.

6) Keeping tabs on CIVgroup news reports.

So, anyone wishing to get involved would be expected
to help out in these little tasks. As we know, the pace of
life on our forum is placid, but it is good to have two mods
to cover for each other.

My vote goes to Arthedain. I think both would be excellent candidates. But as far as I know, Boco isn't enough of a regular visitor to really be able to do the "job" properly.

The fact that he's the only one of the original nominees who hasn't posted in this thread yet is a good indication.

After considering this a lot over the last few days, I have to say that you're on target, Merc. I really sorry guys, but RL (i.e. recently increased job pressure and upcoming change in tax filing status) has convinced me that I currently can't give this group the attention that it deserves from a moderator.
