Arranging for helpful text might be tricky.

    I've just uploaded Image:RussianAlphabet.jpg

To included it in the page, I copy "Image:RussianAlphabet.jpg" and wrap it in square brackets
    [[Image:RussianAlphabet.jpg]]

To also have a caption, I add it after the filename:

The | acts as the separator for options.

    If I want a thumbnail, I append |thumb:

If I want a left aligned thumbnail:

If I want all that and a caption:
    [[Image:RussianAlphabet.jpg|left|thumb|This is my caption]]

    Captions can contain links.

In short, wrap the title of the uploaded image in [[ and ]]

Should have read this post before replying to the 'Submissions for Sleague' thread!

That makes sense to me now. Thanks St Leo

I just add in the bits that used to be there when you uploaded a image or file and paste that into my page with the new upload name in the middle, gotcha!

(Obviously you have managed to put it into plain English much better than wot I done did )

EDIT: I just went to upload a file and read; "To include the image in a page, use a link in the form [[Image:File.jpg]], [[Image:File.png|alt text]] or [[Media:File.ogg]] for directly linking to the file. "

Don't quite know how I missed that before! Sorry
I need shooting, I really do!
